Texas vs. SHSU at Gregory Gym on LHN @7:30
SDG, thanks for the video. For 30 seconds, I felt like a kid again. The floor is much different and back in the day, the bleachers were not permanent but brought in for each game. They went down all the way to the court line and when sitting on the bench, our feet were actually on the court.

Any score? I hope that someone is taking pictures. I would like to see what my old home looks like. Hopefully the crowd is loud.

Agree assuming that Moody has the right configuration which I assume that it will.

If anyone has a chance to go to the game tonight, go. Of course, Gregory has been remolded but you get 7k kids at the game going crazy and it will be an atmosphere that most have never seen before. Hopefully the band will be there as well. Go. You may be right but I believe that part of the situation on offense is that we are passing up wide open shots because the kids are extremely unselfish. Once they feel more comfortable playing together, that hopefully won't be a problem.

I had season tickets in those days. Some incredible games especially when the Steelers came to town. RIP Curly.

2022 Transfer Thread - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
The best way to make long term money is by going to college and becoming a high draft pick. A couple of million dollars is peanuts compared to NFL contracts. That's how these kids make real money. Where do you think the real opportunity lies to make big money, Jimbo's offense for a wide receiver or Sark's?

If you are competitive even as a coach, you live for a challenge like this. You don't walk away due to football reasons.

Moody Center
I spoke with the ticket office today and that may not be completely accurate. One of the first things they are going to look at is loyalty so if you are a long-time hoops season ticket holder, that will probably mean more than if you gave the athletic dept a bunch of money but recently. They also said that nothing has been finalized yet but they are leaning to a loyalty system.

Chet Holmgren- Basketball's Next Unicorn?
He needs to get a lot stronger or he will be abused under the basket in the league. I am not sure that I would be comparing him to KD just yet. It's not going to be as easy to do the things he can do next year in the league.

That's why you give PK another year when he can start to coach some of his players who are coming to Texas because they have bought in. Quite often when a new coaching staff comes in, there can be can some push back by some of the current players.

When you consider that we played them at their place and supposedly not many teams schedule them in Spokane and that was the first game that our kids played together in a game. I believe that all of UCLA's starting 5 came back from last year and they played on a neutral court in front of a lot of their fans. As has been stated on this board previously, our team is a work in progress and I wouldn't be surprised if Coach continues to move players in and out of the starting lineup and having different players coming off the bench in different situations. When all of that is figured out, I like our chances in March. There are going to be bumps in the road but those bumps will make us better.

5 months isn't a very long time to teach and scheme and then implement it in a game time situation even if you have the right personnel. In prehistoric times in hoops, our main defense was a 1-3-1 zone. WE worked on that defense every day at practice for 4 years. It's not as easy as you think and you have to constantly make adjustments based on the personnel of the team that you are playing. If things don't improve next year. then that's when Sark and PK need to have a meeting of the minds.

You earn playing time in practice. That's how you change the culture.

So you're saying that his game was like greggym's game, ,Larry Bird's game with a little Magic sprinkled in. I like it. Great comparisons.
