Texas athletes petitioning University to replace "The Eyes of Texas" and to no longer require athletes to sing it
This is like saying if you don't like some of American laws, go live in a different country, which is what racist people say.

2019 ATH Bru McCoy
So many words to say he was, is, and will always be a pussy. I am sure he is feeling like he will come back strong now that he has nothing to do but dream. I will be shocked if he has a meaningful career. Such a shame!

Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
A late 5* addition to the class in the summer that would take the class from #2 or #3 at NSD2 to #1, which would make Aggy lose its shit. I can't think of anything more pleasant when it comes to recruiting.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
Well, since only 1 QB can play at a time, I see why he wouldn't want more than 1 or 2 in the roster. Better to use the scholarships in more important positions like punting and kicking.

Sam Ehlinger
Moxie means you know you can count on him to get the first down in a critical game, not fumble or get stuffed on a short yardage situation. When I watched Vince, I just knew he would WILL us to victory. Joe Burrow was very much like that last year. I hope Sam turns out that way this year but he wasn't like that the last 3 years.

Sam Ehlinger
I am willing to give Sam his due but let's not compare him to Joe Burrow or Vince Young. Those two were generational players --Joe as a passer and Vince as a runner. Sam has little of both but not the type of moxie those two had. Anyone who debates this is a Sam homer IMO.

I believe Sam is a very good Big 12 QB, maybe not great, but given what Texas Football has gone through during his time here, I am willing to cut him some slack. He has the heart of a champion but lacks the type of moxie that Joe Burrow showed last year or Vince Young in his final year. When he tries to do too much, he ends up making mental mistakes. Vince on the other hand thrived when the pressure was almost unbearable even for the fans. You don't get Vince Young or Joe Burrow too often, so we have to make do with a good QB like Sam.

I would just like to point out that our all time great quarterbacks like Young and McCoy made plenty of bad and erratic throws. You become a great QB by overcoming those errors.

Texas admins much love being Baylor and Kansas's bitch. Did we not lobby Congress for the bailout money?

Market tends to overshoot on each direction during crisis and recovery. I think this 3-day rally is too much too soon. There is a serious health crisis that's lingering and is about get much worse before getting better. I doubt dark days are over.

Did he get a chance to achieve his regular season goals?

Machinator dissapeared just before the Red River shootout last year. I suspect he caught something bumping into an OU fan that is far deadlier than Ebola and Covid-19. This is why you stay away from anything OU.- Fire Shaka Smart
Getting rid of a proven bad coach is not a bad look, rather keeping him on payroll after getting blown out by some of the lower half of the conference is.- 2019 ATH Bru McCoy
I am not sure the article answers the key question of why he left Texas. It's clear why left USC the first time but why did he leave Texas? The article makes a weak attempt to answer the question by quoting Naivar on Bru being challenged by Texas safeties but I can't believe that's the reason. Any athlete of that caliber is used to being challenged and taunted by DBs in practice. They prepare for this their whole lives. I also find it funny that the writer implies that the family didn't know if USC would take him back. You are telling me Bru didn't have some assurances from the USC coaching stuff? Let's all pretend that didn't take place. This is nothing more than an attempt by the McCoy family and USC to try to do a damage control before his spring game debut. I didn't learn anything new and all I read was some fiction.- Fire Shaka Smart
Making the tourney in a rebuilding year is not our standard.- Fire Shaka Smart
I am shocked our second best category is 3PA. I, for sure, thought we would rank first there. Obviously, something for the team to work on.- Fire Shaka Smart
With our weak OOC schedule and record of being blown out by teams that won't make the tourney, winning 20 games probably doesn't mean as much as it should. I think we need 2 wins to be safe. Win one game and it's a tossup.- Fire Shaka Smart
More like a play in game to qualify for the play in game in the tournament.- Fire Shaka Smart
To complicate matters, the stock market and oil price collapse are not going to help with the buyout. If the economy heads into recession, as many are expecting now, all bets are off. We might be stuck with shakalaka for another year or two.- Fire Shaka Smart
I think most of us would like to believe that Shaka is gone after the season is over but we really don't know how CDC reacts to these kinds of situations. I don't think money would be an issue. The buyout would most likely be somewhat offset by Shaka's salary elsewhere. My nervousness stems from the fact that ever since CDC arrived, word out of Belmont has been that we needed stability to right the ship. I hope we don't keep the status quo in the name of so-called stability. Watching this team is like watching Trials of Gabriel Hernandez.- Fire Shaka Smart
Isn't there an offset in Shaka's buyout clause so that his buyout would be reduced by any compensation he receives elsewhere? Isn't that pretty much standard these days?- Texas AD Chris Del Conte
He hasn't been twitting a lot about the basketball games this year. Every time he did tweet, fans were begging him to fire Shaka. Maybe that's why he doesn't any more or he is ready to pull the plug on the Shaka experiment.- Fire Shaka Smart
Why does so many people, including CDC, bring up that Shaka is a great person? If he is a great person, go be his friend, invite him to your superbowl watching party, but don't pay the man $3m+ every year to suck at his job. Nice people rarely make great coaches.- Fire Shaka Smart
I thought getting embarrassed by a lesser opponent was a Tom Herman specialty. Man, this is more infectious than Covid-19. - Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
