Think it’s weird as fuck but if it helps get kids like Broughton to come home then I’m all for it.

This, I Think Mookie is more slot and Ty is a perfect take now as a RB2 to compliment Evans and protect us against the chance we miss on him.

EJ’s updates on Evans and George: RB Zachary Evans, North Shore (2020) — Perhaps the most important recruit in the 2020 class, Evans is making his way to Texas yet again. He visited UT more than any other school last calendar year, and the Longhorns have put themselves in a strong spot to land the generational talent. Evans is also high on schools like Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M, but UT has a ton of momentum here. OL Damieon George, North Shore (2020) — A mammoth offensive tackle, George is one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2020 class. George was thought to be leaning towards playing in the SEC, but Texas is surging in this recruitment. George loved the way the Longhorns played in the Sugar Bowl and is excited about getting down to Austin. George and the aforementioned Evans would love to play together, and Texas is a school of mutual interest.

OL Jaylen Garth, Port Neches-Groves (2020) — Garth may be another prospect to monitor this weekend. While he really likes Texas A&M, UT has been separating itself as the team to beat over the last month. The staff has been making a hard push with Garth, and like most prospects, he was impressed with the way UT played in the trenches in the Sugar Bowl. Garth was a teammate of Texas signee Roschon Johnson, and the two are extremely close. EJ added this update to his weekend preview and then posted in the comments to read inbetween the lines and out his coffee emoji. Real inconspicuous

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
Have to think there is a realistic scenario where they could push early and have Parr, Lindberg, Majors and Garth locked up before the summer starts. After that all you have to do is work on Damien George and show Evans what he’s going to run behind.

Mike Roach has said a few times recently that if Texas pushes for Majors they could lock him down, I hope we can get it done this weekend.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
As stated above I think he had a couple bad games against Westlaks and North Shore but both of those teams had great defenses this year. He also had several games where he lit it up, I’m interested to see how he does on the camp scene this spring and summer.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
It’s been reported that he’s starting to warm up to the idea, after what he did in the playoffs it’s hard not to see him starting there wherever he ends up.

Texas recruiting notes 2019
With the emergence of the grad transfer market I’m not as worried but 4 HS OL in 2 years would definitely be far from ideal, 2020 better be a 4-5 man class.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
I hope we take Jackson as a QB/Ath put a RS on him and see what happens but Card definitely isn’t a bad take his Jr stats in 15 games 3543 yards 68% completion 50/4 TD/INT.

Doesn’t sound like it, going to be mostly ‘20 and a few ‘21’s. Looks like the staff is targeting the Jan. 26th and Feb. 2nd weekends for the remaining 2019 guys.

A 2021 OL class of Brockermeyer, Fatheree, Conner and Foster would be incredible.
