  2. Stoops was never happening.
  3. This is true, and if it weren’t for the follow-up on losing to rivals, I might’ve thought that’s what he meant.
  4. John didn’t coach at Stanford or Michigan. Jim did. Also, Jim beat the ever-living shit out of Pete Carrol at least once, if not more. Cal wasn’t an issue. I don’t recall any issues with rivals while he was at Stanford.
  5. Would you mind sharing the reasons for your optimism and certitude?
  6. I’d be excited about Joe Brady.
  7. Not to sound rude or ungrateful, but what are we supposed to glean from this, exactly?
  8. This. Could it be more obvious from Herman’s question-dodging that he knows he’s gone?
  9. She’s in the ballpark. Maybe @Tex Pete can help me out with a pic. It’s a panoramic.
  10. She’s not little. She’s a big’un.
  11. He’s not running the table. He hasn’t even played the best teams in the conference. If we win 6 games, I’ll be shocked.
  12. Chili dog replied to RGBIII's topic in Football
And UTEP didn’t even have Many Diaz on the sidelines.
  13. Agreed. No pads and all that, but he blew by the poor DBs. Now, those DBs may not have the stellar offer list Cain has...
  14. I agree our WRs should be open, but if our OL can’t learn to pick up twists and stunts, it won’t matter if we have Julio Jones.
  15. It does if you do it right.
  16. Why can’t this fate befall OU or Ohio State?
  17. So.... you want everyone to cut the cheese?
  18. I’m glad we offered. I doubt we get him, but I will check and see if our offer helped us at all.
  19. I see your point, but by the same logic, would hiring a guy who coaches in the secondary and would be covered by your DC, who also coaches in the secondary, not be worth it If it meant bringing in a 5* recruit (Ringo) who could help you short term? seems like the short term benefit would cover any risk. I think he’d be decent at coaching fundamentals, but I have no basis for that assumption other than his success on the field.
  20. I wonder if Bryant Westbrook would be too much of a reach at this level.
  21. It is if the good life is playing video games on a beanbag chair in a cheap apartment and sleeping on the floor.
  22. Too long. Didn’t read. Went straight to Ohio State and saw that you left off JK Dobbins. All I needed to see.
  23. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Talent is not the issue. Coaching and development are the issues. Our best players leave the state/conference. Ohio State has looted us. Bama and LSU have looted us. Georgia is looting us. We and atm get talent and squander it. Half the NFL is led by QBs from the state of Texas. The premise of your argument is flawed. Texas is absolutely fertile recruiting ground, and Urban knows it, whether you do or not.
