Midlothian Heritage lost to SOC 33-27 in OT. Back and forth game with no lead greater than 7 all game. Even though I'm a MH fan, I was watching Malik Muhammad and Billy Walton pretty closely. Malik got beat a couple times but for the most part held down the WR on his side. Billy Walton looked pretty solid, as SOC's d-line was in the backfield on every pass it seemed. The biggest stud on the field was SOC's Jamyri Cauley. He caught anything that was thrown his way. I had never heard of him, but it turns out he's a top 300 player nationally. Of course I don't really follow recruiting, so fuck me I guess.
I didn't bet any games last week because I was out of town and just forgot, but went 4-1 the week prior, so 31-17-2 (+18U) on the season. I'm betting a few more than usual this week to make up for last:
ousux -2
WSU +1.5
USC -5
Wisc -3
Lou +3
USCe +14.5
GT +35.5
BC +10.5
I took the wife and kids to the game tonight. It was my kids' first ever game. After the Hawks went up 4-1, I turned to my kids and said "you never leave a hockey game early, so don't even ask." I looked like one smart mother fucker after those 5 goals.
I don't think I've been to downtown Austin in the last 10 years unless it was for a home game. However, I'll be there this weekend and want to find a good place to watch the game. Any new good game watching spots?
I'm not sure why everyone is so surprised. The computers LOVE us. We have some big wins and lost 3 extremely close games, 2 with a backup QB. Yes, TCU is a good team, but they've also been extremely fortunate with injuries to opponent's QBs. If you want to load up on TCU +6.5, then do it but I wouldn't touch that shit. 3-2 last week (added EMU UNDER after seeing the heavy fog 10 min before kick), 27-16-2 (+14U) on the season. Props to @40acredropout for the UVA/Mia tip.
This week:
LSU +13
WVU/ISU U51
Miss St -10.5
Pitt -3.5
Wash St -4.5
Us and ousux will 100% get away games at all 4 new schools, and in return they will take away the easiest games that would have been on the schedule (WV, KU, etc).
I'll go ahead and say the officials won't let us win this game. We're on our way out, K-State is a Big 12 darling with a chance to make a decent bowl, it's on the road. They'll go in dry on us Okie St style. The only way we win is if we blow the doors off them.
How long before the dorks in College Station anoint this possum as some holy prophet of a mascot that had to overcome the adversity of Lane Kiffin running over it's entire family on a motorcycle and still had the will to sneak into Kyle Field to live out daddy possum's dying wish of seeing the Fightin' Texum Bulldogs give the Rebels hell.
Ours was $5900, and in the pic you're looking at probably 60% of the installed lights. I have an L-shaped 3-car garage on the left side that has lights hung and about 20' worth of lights going down the side on the right. Like I said, I think we paid $24/lf as a mistake, so do the math on that.
We also got a quote from Trimlight that was a few hundred dollars cheaper, but I didn't like the look of their product. Their LED lights were bulb shaped, like a small oven or microwave type bulb and protruded out of the c-channel base they installed. The Jellyfish lights are a round disc and fit flush in the base. Their product looked cleaner overall to me, but that was just a matter of taste. I think both give off the same light.
Why the fuck do we have to watch Giants-Seahawks in DFW and Houston? If your argument is the NFC East angle, then I'll point out Washington is also in the NFC East. Plus you'll have all the Texas fans wanting to watch Sam plus everyone else in the state wanting to watch him fail. It really makes no sense unless there's some glaring detail I'm missing here.
I've been looking for over 2 years for a Miami Blue 991.2 slick top with a 7MT and RAS, and finally found one. Carrera T with all the aforementioned options and 9k miles. Fucking love this thing.
We had them installed last month. We love them. House is orange/white on Saturdays and blue/white on Sundays. On weekdays we've had Halloween colors up this month. The sales guy made a mistake on the pricing but they honored the quote he gave, so ours came out to about $24/lf. Apparently the peaks on our roof are close to 40', because they could barely reach them with their 32' ladder. No way in hell I'd hang lights up there so the cost is worth it.
