Texas vs. Wyoming - Game 3 - 7pm on (for the last time) LHN
Okie lite just lost to South Alabama by 26 points. And then there's the pesky fact that we don't play okie pokie this year.

6 pass 1 run to start the game against a G5 opponent is odd.

XFL: The sequel
It's weird to me that in comparison to the competition they're playing, the QB play is still such ass. Offense in this league thus far is awful.

Realignment talk not going away

The Eyes of Texas
I agree with a lot of what you said. But there's no way to please everyone. It's obvious TEOT is one of (if not the biggest) rituals that brings Texas fans together young and old, black (until recently) and white. It's important to redact hurtful things but we can't change who we are for acceptance. Littlefield, the dumb civil war statues are things that can be nuked into orbit. But a 100+ year old tradition that many hold near and dear is pretty much a non negotiable. Especially since it's never been used in a way to cause harm on anyone. I mean hell, it was played at Coach Royal's memorial service. https://youtu.be/28A6ZFJ_D3k

The Eyes of Texas
Why do folks love to cling to the past? The University of Texas is not a person. People good and bad have been associated with it but they are not "Texas". A lot has been done to redirect and initiatives invoked to try and rectify wrong doings of the past. Idgaf what they were doing in 1908 or whatever the year was. It has absolutely no bearing on the meaning/ritual of what TEOT is in 2023.

Texas WR/TE Passing Offense Talk
It's almost always Ex-Qb's that playcall like that. Quarterbacks in general seem to look at running the ball as a necessity to stay somewhat balanced rather than an offensive philosophy. Ex-defensive guys and Ex-OLinemen seem to call a game more to my liking more often than not. You can adjust to getting lit up through the air (just keep throwing DB's out there) but when you're just bludgeoning a team on the ground for 5 yards per carry It's demoralizing and very complementary to your defense by limiting possessions and giving long breaks.

Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
It somehow makes it worse that they don't drink beer or cuss. My mom's side of the family are huge Utah fans so by proxy I also support the Utes. Dealing with the zoobs (byu fans) is no fun.

They can't, or that payday gets G5 level small.

Should double down and make one for the OOC schedule.

Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
Definitely a Houston thing. They have the most cringe inferiority complex to anything Dallas.

Sark better be told "score as many points as absolutely possible and don't stop. I want 100" when Texas plays at Houston.
