2018 Golf Thread of Dominance
I bought some AP2s about a month ago. Those things are sweet as sugar when you hit them in the sweet spot. You definitely lose distance on toe/heel strikes, but the feedback is great. You know where you are missing and can adjust. The AP3 are supposed to be like the AP2s but just a bit more forgiving.

Chinese Manufacturing and Imitation
Fun Fact: in China, once a set of architectural plans are approved, they make ONE guy sign his name as the architect on record. If a building fails because of poor design, he is never heard from again.

Chinese Manufacturing and Imitation
100% this. I traveled extensively to China for 4 years, and agree with this sentiment from the Chinese.

2018 Tax Appraised Values
Same here. Fought a large increase last year, got a "compromise" when I protested. This year, 0% increase. Tarrant County.

The 2018 Hunting Thread
You need a good set of waders. Don't get heavy neoprene, just get the lightweight version and layer underneath if it's really cold out. Also, get a face mask, or be prepared to paint your face each hunt. You need to keep really still at the point of attack, similar to deer hunting. Ducks that see shiny faces upon final approach will flair. As a beginner, I would suggest booking with a guide for a few hunts until you get a feel of what's involved. For ducks, I would look to book around Livingston area. Or you could book a coastal hunt (Port O'Connor?). Two really different experiences, but both are enjoyable.

Finally got my 2016 buck back from the taxidermy. Big 8 I shot in late December that year.

PSA, the NRA national convention is in Dallas this year. May 4-6. It's like a mini SHOT Show, with a ton of exhibitors.

Durango,CO
No idea. But Durango sits on the edge of the mountains, so I bet unless a monster storm hits, it's pretty safe for flights in/out.

Well, he sure as hell wasn't one to complain...
Yep, kept me up past bedtime watching it.

American and United service the Durango airport. You would have to connect in Denver or DFW for international flights.

Fire Uncle Sam (The Tax Thread)
Since you have a home office, I assume you have mostly 1099 income? Make sure to be aggressive on business deductions. That may add up. As long as you show a profit and pay some tax, your likelihood of audit is extremely low.

Hostiles
Watched it last night. Amazing. Not a whole lot of joy on the ol frontier, especially with Comanche around. That's one of the most accurate portrayals of life in Comancheria that I have seen depicted on the big screen. I thought Bale was great, writing was excellent, cinematography was stunning.
