Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
About a year later, he ran for 86 yards against Arkansas (5.4 yds/carry). Many of us thought he was “back.” So sad…he was such a thoroughbred, except the knee. I was told his knees were abnormal even without the injury.

Yeah, I’m old enough to remember hearing, “Tom Landry is the only head coach the Cowboys have ever had” repeatedly. But I was young enough then that it didn’t bother me. Roger to Drew always comes through!

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
This reminds me of a Rodney Dangerfield joke: "I got separated from my parents at the beach. I went up to a cop and asked if he could help me find them. He said, I don't know kid, there are so many places they could hide."

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Today I learned that a Surly poster’s mom was the inspiration for “Hold on Loosely.” For those complaining about this thread, just keep in mind that it gets the weirdest around here right before great news comes. Example: in the last month we revisited kolache nomenclature and got a civic lesson about extraterritorial jurisdiction and annexation right before Sark punched Kirby’s ballsack followed by Flipmas in July. So, as we wait to find out if we’ll enjoy a Kreul Summer, enjoy the show because if it’s too hot to handle then get up and go.

Holy crap, 20% federal tax? WTF was that about? Exercise tax? (sorry, dad joke)- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
I think you answered your own question correctly. But some posters are bringing up currently unemployed coaches. Who's your pick? Biff Poggi? Tom Herman? I think Bo Pelini wins this one by a nose.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Agree about Zion Williams. His highlight reel wasn’t impressive. Sure he is an immovable object (wouldn’t hate to see him in short yardage situations) but he doesn’t move around laterally well and seems to spend no time in the backfield. I watched him when he played against Ball a few weeks ago and I didn’t see him have a single impact play.- Game Week 10, Texas at Arkansas
Good one! I like to think of Arkansas as the (R)- enantiomer of Kansas.- Week 10, 2024 - Texas Vs. Florida
Any Chance Gardner enjoyed Being There?- 2025 S Jonah Williams
It seemed to happen as he was tackled late in the 2nd quarter on a beautiful interception and return around the Barbers Hill 10 yd line. Ball ended up losing its Homecoming game 62-60 in 4 OTs. Would’ve won it for sure if Jonah hadn’t gotten hurt.- 2025 S Jonah Williams

Where’s Ball High? Right there!- 2025 S Jonah Williams
Made a GIF of the INT. I could make a higher quality one, but it would be 29 MB and I don't know what's acceptable on this board. Love him getting his teammate off him then pointing at Sark while rocking those burnt orange gloves.- 2025 S Jonah Williams
I've watched every game he's played this season, some by streaming but a few in person including last night. One thing is for sure, we should really consider giving him some touches in special teams and/or offense packages. He's a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball. I know that he's not playing the most elite Texas HS teams, but there's no doubt he is elite and I can't wait to see how he looks on the 40. BTW, Zeus mentioned the INT. It was a thrown on target and would have been a big first down in the red zone at a time when PAM was still very much alive in the game. Jonah went up high and just wanted it more. He absolutely Mossed the WR and it's a sin if it doesn't show up on NFL Countdown (I wish I had video of it). I know Randy Moss loves WRs, but I would bet big that we would be excited to have this play on his segment. And it all happened about 15 yards directly in from of where Sark was standing. The only person with a better view than Sark was the poor, dumb bastard WR that got Mossed. BTW, he hits harder than anyone Texas has had since Quentin Jammer. Glad he's gonna play for the good guys.- Coach Sark Press Conference 9.30 - 11:30am
This is an awesome summary, thanks immamac! I am quoting the part that made me happiest. You love to see it when we still benefit from guys who've moved on to the NFL. Culture, baby!- Immamac Tailgate "incident" Photoshop thread featuring custom Longhorns hey dudes
