FPI isn't terrible, but it does factor in things like recruiting rankings and stuff that is pretty irrelevant 9 games into the year. Not sure how they treat the transfer portal. But looking back, it has undersold TCU all year and oversold UT, so who knows.
Internet buzz that the SEC is trying to reshuffle other bowl games so they keep the Liberty Bowl and have one of their other 3 loss teams play in it, and Army would play a G5 team. So weak.
Guess not: https://fox2now.com/2019/09/23/antonio-brown-gone-from-the-nfl-enrolls-in-online-college-classes/
Brown posted a photo on his Instagram Story of a piece of paper with several classes for the fall semester at CMU, along with the text “Back to school.” The image shows that the talented but mercurial player is enrolled in Introduction to Management and an English class on Technical Writing. Starting in October, he will be taking a religion class called “Death and Dying” and a sociology class on racism and inequality, the photo shows.
Army won it last year. By beating Air Force earlier this year, Army ensured the trophy will stay in West Point another 12 months, but this is for their second straight outright CIC win. I am not certain, but I think that would be a first for Army to win it two straight years.
It's week 8.
In week 8 of the 2007 season, South Florida had risen from unranked pre-season to #2. By week 11, South Florida was unranked again.
Maybe we should pump the breaks a bit.
