The Guitar Pron Thread
OK, I guess I'll post mine. I got this in a pawn shop in Round Rock about seven years ago this week for $60. I figured it could be a fun project guitar to tear down and experiment with. Turns out it was worth a lot more than I paid for it, early 90s set neck with Gibson branded truss rod cover, really plays great and sounds dang good, too, the only p90 I have ever owned. I just need to play it. And it came with some awesome dice knobs, which seem to be glued on with some kind of alien technology that is unremovable by human means. I hope I never need to change pots.

Typical year, he had a few weeks here and there being scorching hot, then was total ass the other 75 percent of the year. Yet, still might have been better than what the Rangers were throwing out there all year.

Double 07 Bond!
Adam Schefter: "Shortly after news of the case being closed broke, Bond posted a statement on Instagram saying he plans to sign with the Cleveland Browns." Well, of course.

Thanks Burger. So far... I wonder if the long layoff from the previous inning might have made Maton tighten up a bit. Three pitch inning then wait way too long. Gotta manage that better.

Not in disagreement at all. But imagine if the Rangers had a decent regular closer, say top 1/3 of the league guy, they would have several more wins in in decent position. Yet it doesn't look like a team that would get far in any playoff, other than a repeat of everyone just getting scorching hot career streaks at the right time, like a couple of years ago.

Another good one to miss tonight, if you have to. This team is a suckerpunch to the gut just when your guard is dropped.

Texas BBQ
I saw that Shoepf's in Belton made the TX Mo next-100 honorable mention list. Their Q is significantly better than Miller's which is still getting unjustly fluffed as a top 50 joint, where people go to get breakfast foo foo deserts and coffee. They scuttled their traditional wood burners a few years ago and went electric, tourists still flock in like pigeons, while Schoepf's crowd is modest to light. Expensive, but their food is dang good again, like the way early days, plus adding some nice specialty items. They also had their time of being not real good a ways back, but they revamped their methods in the last few years and they are doing it right. I just can't afford to eat there very often. I helped Miller's get on the map back in the day, but their notoriety after the move to the newer building success turned them into a tourist trap. Food is still pretty good, but it's a shame they threw away some of the best in Texas.

Texas BBQ
Last few times i went was a few years ago and it was disappointing then. Not sure what it is now. It had its day of being great, and its day of being way overrated. Barbecue is like the stock market. Buy on the rumor, sell on the news.
