  1. This is all for show. ESPN loves these weekly selection shows. It creates week long discussions. If they implemented a real playoffs like FCS, all that goes away. ESPN doesn't want that. they don't give a damn about the most deserving teams getting in. I don't know of any sport in this planet that operates like the FBS division of college football.
  2. Georgia is dominating Bama in every facet.
  3. Agreed. Not saying we should take their spot since we also have 3 losses but 3 losses is 3 losses. If you say losing this game doesn't matter at all, then I'm not sure the importance of this game other than teams who absolutely need it to get in like Duke and BYU. But the committee just punished BYU for losing their game, no way are they in. I feel they need to just get this to 24 teams do away with this CCG weekend. Playoffs begin this week. 24 teams with no CCG weekend is really no different than 12 teams with this CCG non playoff week. This completely takes the committee out the mix. Every single deserving team gets in and slug it out in a real playoffs like the FCS has been doing forever.
  4. Yep. If they lose today, both of us would have lost to Georgia. Ours was on the road, theirs in a neutral site. Both of us lost to a shitty Florida school. They lost to OU at home, we handled them with ease in Dallas. Our loss on the road to Ohio St, the only team to even play them close. Ohio St would run OU off the field.
  5. Maybe don't lose the game? All of these games should matter to some degree, win or lose. This is why these CCG's need to be figured out and how much importance they have to the final seedings. If Bama is in no matter what, why not just forfeit and rest up for 2 weeks heading into the playoffs. They don't even belong on the same field as Georgia.
  6. True but if Bama is in with 3 losses, then this game matters none. Bama should just take the week rest and get ready for next week. This is why these CCG's are becoming pointless with the playoffs in place.
  7. Georgia vs Ohio State would be very fun and I think that ends up being the national championship game. But Georgia vs Indiana would be terrible. They would run them off the field by halftime.
  8. They did that to Georgia in 2023. And they were undefeated going into that game, too. Coming off back to back national titles. This Bama team lost to shit FSU by 14 and a pretty weak OU team at home that we handled up on. Leaving Bama out with 3 losses wouldn't be some travesty. This Bama team isn't the Bama of the past with Saban.
  9. Depends. If you want UT to have any sort of shot, root for Georgia to win big. Kirby is a bitch for sure but fuck Bama as well. This reminds me of the Cavs/Warriors we had to watch 4 years straight.
  10. I don't think Bama deserves to be in if they lose this game. They would have 3 losses. I don't care if their 3rd loss came in the CCG. If the committee says 3 losses is the cutoff, then leave them out. Their resume would be identical to ours if they lose this game, maybe worse.
  11. I love the playoffs but these CCG's lose their luster now. Ohio St vs Indiana is only for seeding purposes. Losing it just means really nothing. If Bama is in no matter what, then their game becomes only for seeding. If a team isn't punished for losing it, then what is the point of even playing it?
  12. I wonder if Texas could have just kept it close, do we get dropped that far? Texas made it a game and had a damn good chance to even come out with a win until the wheels shot off at the end part. But at some point, Sark and Texas has to figure out how to beat these good teams and not have to worry about the committee.
  13. 3 losses is 3 losses, though. Yes, it would have taken them an extra game to get to 3 losses but their resume would be pretty identical to ours. Both would have lost to Georgia. Both lost to a shitty Florida/Florida St team. And they would have lost to OU, a much worse team to Ohio State and Bama was at home for that. We were on the road. In fact, all our losses were on the road if that counts for anything. But I get it. A tricky situation on what to do with these CCG now with the playoffs. Do you punish teams for losing it? Georgia was punished a few years ago as an undefeated team entering that game. Committee could have easily kept both them and Bama, and then went with Florida St and Michigan but they didn't. So, it wouldn't be the first team to get punished for losing this game.
  14. Texas excuse for what??
  15. Congrats to Tech for winning the Mickey mouse version of the Big 12 lol.
  16. Lmao at upholding that as a TD. Just go ahead and forfeit the game at this point. He started to fumble that ball about a full yard before the goal line. Even live it didn't look like a TD.
