Sure but that is out of CDC’s control and it doesn’t change the coach Bakich is. The situation is fluid and I’d rather CDC made sure there wasn’t an open window for Schloss/Vitello. It would suck even more if we went straight to Bakich after the supers and then find out Schloss/Vitello had legitimate interest in the job.
Once Schloss/Vitello made it to the championship, it could have became clear to CDC that the getting either was very slim. Circled back to Bakich late last week, negotiations ran through the weekend and Pierce is fired today with Bakich being hired soon. Bakich would be a pretty good hire but the only reason CDC has waited this long is if there was a legit shot to get Schloss or Vitello.
I always thought the Jedi were the clear cut good guys and still do. The Jedi downfall was the obvious hubris and thinking every decision they made was the best one. The Sith have little to no grey area, and knew exactly what they were doing was evil.
I get what you’re saying but they didn’t even get out of the regionals last year, and did it in typical aggie fashion. They went and grabbed a couple of talented portal guys and a new pitching coach that will have a new job soon. This is more of an anomaly than what we are going to get in the future. If they win today or tomorrow, aggie will have to prove something that they haven’t shown ever in their athletic history in the big 3 sports. I doubt we’re looking at the new Vanderbilt
With the canon and George, I think he made it like Star Trek where they were separated from his original ideas but he tried to keep the continuity there when it was possible. At the end of the day, it was always George’s call.
With Ki-Adi-Mundi, he was in three films and was in the clone wars. I believe he was a part of an important Genonosis arc. Everything else was outside of George’s scope more than likely. They’re obviously going a step further with his line from TPM and having him there adds to the mystery right now.
It’s 8 episodes. Thats a lot to pack in. Also, we can’t forget about what Maul said to Papls in episode 1: “At last we will reveal ourselves to Jedi, at last we will have our revenge.” So this series is putting both the Jedi and Sith in a conundrum from what we learned in TPM.
