  1. Really? How many of our players do you think have a realistic shot at the NFL? Even if we start getting that level of talent on the regular, at the most it's gonna be like 10-15% percent of the team. It just amazes me how everyone's standard's change when we aren't winning games. We should be doing our homework and finding a coach that checks all the boxes we want not settling for someone who will almost certainly put a giant stain on the program's integrity.
  2. Wow great response. Do you have anything that suggests what I said is untrue or is your pussy just hurt?
  3. Look I'm just as upset as everyone else and definitely think that Herman needs to go but I really don't think we should hire Urban Meyer. The man simply should not be allowed to be around kids anymore. There is no moral argument there.
  4. Apex73 replied to Beau Vine's topic in Football
Yea he had a few one on ones in open field today but never capitalized on them. Ridiculous a guy that size is getting taken down by dbs.
  5. Game was there to be won and of course we choke it away again. Doubt we win in overtime with this offensive playcalling.
  6. Or maybe you just have your head up your ass. Yea that seems to be more likely.
  7. Yea if it wasn't around, he wouldn't have his bit anymore. Takes 3 seconds of thinking to come up with his conclusions.
  8. Because they don't want to stand on the field with the leader of their team after the game is over. You don't understand how bad that looks. Because they have threatened to quit over nonsense or not getting enough playing time, and because they have bowed up to former players saying that they need to play better. They are a bunch of entitled pussies from what I can tell and anybody with eyes can see it.
  9. Because it's clear a lot don't have any respect for the name on the jersey, traditions, or the players that came before them. It's also reflected in the way they play.
  10. Then I would say they aren't true Longhorns. They certainly don't play that way.
  11. A few threatened to quit on social media this past summer and they certainly haven't been silent about it elsewhere. They all sang it last year before they knew the origins of the song, which tells me their is social capital to be gained by agreeing with this nonsense publicly and shitting on anyone who disagrees. I will say I haven't seen one player badmouth a fan but they certainly have supported this crap and I think that reason has to do with social capital to be gained because they all sang it last year when their wasn't capital to be gained. You live with your head in the sand. Once again, you have no credibility with me and hopefully not with many.
  12. Well for one, how about that ridiculous you and yours comment you made about me that insinuates that me and the rest of the "angry white people" are just raging ignorant old people. How about saying that I use recycled opinions from comedians then not bringing up anyone in specific when asked repeatedly to do so. You have zero credibility with me.
  13. Ok so you weren't referring to anyone specifically just running your dick licker about nonsense again. Got it. You should also not conflate the opinions of a few (which btw I didn't see anything blatantly racist in that but maybe I missed something) with everyone who disagrees with you on this board. It takes 3 seconds of thinking to come up with a conclusion like that. It seems like you live in a bubble. You have no credibility with me.
  14. He doesn't ever have anything of substance to say so when someone does he calls it "recycled"
  15. Who are you referring to exactly? If you are saying that what I'm saying is something a lot of other people agree with then you're right. Other than that, it just sounds like you think I plagiarized or regurgitated information someone else said to make my own point. That's what people say who have never had an original thought and think everything is "recycled". No shit, turns out when people are talking about the same thing there is often overlap in opinion. I still have honestly no idea who you are referring to because there have been a lot of people who have echoed these sentiments. And because people are upset at the players at this doesn't mean they have a tidal wave of hate. You define hate as anyone who gets upset or disagrees with them. That's disingenuous. You are behaving like a 14 year old girl. It's not a good look. You need to get laid.
  16. Bottom line is that it's sad that we are still discussing this and the team still sucks at what they are here to do. They are soft and the more we avoid focusing on football and more on this nonsense the less likely it's going to get any better. Coaching staff is obviously soft too and way too timid to set a principle standard that should have ended this shit months ago. Then they make excuses for the team as if they see improvement and actually expect us to believe that we will roll out a championship team on Saturdays. It's just not happening. They don't do anything well. These kids have grown up in a society where they get rewarded for call out culture. If you call out something privately you get no social points but if you do it publicly you get the points which is crucial to your social capital. It allows you not to think because the problem and solution have already been force fed to you in your echo chamber. I'll bet they haven't questioned once whether or not they might be wrong.
  17. Lol my goodness easy Francis. He didn't say they were trash and can you honestly say when you were 18-22 you had a well rounded perspective and an opinion yourself today would respect? Come on man. It seems a lot like you just pander to nonsense to make sure you're on the right side of history which I can understand. I think it's disgusting but I understand it.
  18. Once again it was in response to a post that said the BLM movement is more important than the song. That implies it has influence. I don't understand how saying that we have rules as a University, the same you would have at a company is taking a hard stance against the players. You clearly don't understand how hierarchies work. It's the administrations responsibility to make known the rules and they have failed to do so and it looks bad. There will always be someone ready to take their spot. Doesn't matter the race.
  19. Who has said that? And also even if some people have, that doesn't mean that you assume anyone who disagrees with this nonsense is racist. That's just having tunnel vision completely. You are such a political hack.
  20. It was in response to a post that said BLM is more important than the school song. Not everyone feels that way. You don't get it. And yes, the players did demand money be given to BLM. I don't think that's the issue but it is a thing.
  21. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You really think even if we made players sing it (which I'm not advocating for), that their would never bee any blue chip prospects that come to Texas? You are not living in reality. This relies on the theory that all black people think the same way. They demanded quite a lot and some of it rightfully so but the University was more than fair to them. The BLM movement has no place deciding whether or not the eyes of Texas are to be abolished or not. Simple as that.
