2021 NCAA Tournament - Meta thread
The Shaka apologists have to be sick right now..."Just more bad luck for him, not fair!"

Worst basketball loss in program history
52 points by Texas is still the 2nd-lowest of the tournament so far, only ahead of 16 seed Drexel who put up 49.

Fire Shaka Smart
He's done here. He might keep his job another year if CDC is too scared to make a change now but it is just delaying the inevitable a year from now. The split between Shaka supporters and haters was about 35/65 heading into this tournament but that seems to be down to 10/90 now

Fire Shaka Smart
This roster was built to contend. The last 2-3 years were spent leading up to this season and it still wasn't enough to do anything. Shaka has shown that he couldn't win with good freshmen/sophomores who would bolt to the NBA Draft. He has now proven that he can't win with an experienced lineup either

Northern Iowa in 2016. Nevada in 2018. Abilene Christian in 2021. He's done here!

Worst basketball loss in program history
ACU defense is good but their offense is garbage...they were just running down the shot clock and throwing up prayers and we still couldn't beat them

Texas vs. ACU - First Round - 8:50pm on truTV/TNT
Yeah cue the Fraud Alert...all that talent and experience and can't even get out of the first round and beat an ACU

2021 Postseason Optimism Thread
I would say this team is scary and very few teams will want to play us on a neutral court. This is the best team we've had in 10+ years...simply because we finally have elite PG play from an experienced PG like Coleman. That has always been the weakness for us in this conference...we could never get a PG to stay longer than 2 years. Experience, good shooters on the wings, good big men, this team has it all. And then the potential of Kai Jones and Greg Brown are the icing on the cake that will put us over the top vs. the teams like Gonzaga, Baylor, etc. who rely on execution over pure talent.

Big 12 Tournament Championship Game - #13 Texas vs. #12 Oklahoma State - 5:00 ESPN
Championship or bust. This team can win it all...especially this season where it's basically wide open.

Big 12 Tournament Championship Game - #13 Texas vs. #12 Oklahoma State - 5:00 ESPN
OK State looking tired, it's gonna be hard for them to stop us multiple possessions from here on out

Big 12 Tournament Championship Game - #13 Texas vs. #12 Oklahoma State - 5:00 ESPN
Coleman is dominating and he knows it. If him and Sims keeps playing like this in the real tournament then we can beat anyone in the country

Big 12 Tournament Championship Game - #13 Texas vs. #12 Oklahoma State - 5:00 ESPN
Cunningham knows he needs to score 30+ for them to even have a chance today...so far he's bricking everything. We SHOULD blow em out...too much size, depth and rested

Hostage Situation - 1900 Block of West 35th Street (Jackson Ave.) Near Mopac
So terrible...I wasn't familiar with the victim but this is still pissing me off. This wasn't a quick in-the-heat-of-the-moment murder...he had hours to cool down and gain some sense before realizing not to hurt her. And he still decided to do it and then take his own life of course. What a coward...screw him. I don't care about whatever his situation was, his mental health, whatever side effects of his cancer was. People have cancer. People have crappy things that happen to them in life. They still don't go and pull some BS like this.

Texas basketball 2020-21: Not even Shaka can fuck this up...right?
This team is scary. Shaka is gonna parlay this season into a contract extension and naming rights to the new arena

Texas at Kansas: 11 am on ESPN2. [84-59 FINAL TEXAS]
I think this is finally the year. Too much talent, depth, and experience on this roster...plus not playing in full arenas this year. Everything is shaping up for a deep run. Elite 8 or bust

Casey Thompson
Good for him, I hope the job is his in 2021. There is still something to be had with QBs who sit for a few years and take over when they're ready, physically and mentally. I believe most teams prefer starting a RS soph or junior but it's not always possible (see Texas 2011-2017) I know all these QBs think they're the greatest and want to start as true freshmen. If not then they hit the transfer portal. If you want to make the NFL then all you need is 1-2 good years. Might as well be patient and wait your turn. Let Thompson have the job in 2021 and if he keeps it through 2022 then fine. Card will still have plenty of time if he's patient himself.

2020 Alamo Bowl: Texas vs. Colorado
Easy game...layup bowl. See ya next year in this same building when we play the next mid-tier Pac-12 team....probably Arizona State

2020 Alamo Bowl: Texas vs. Colorado
Damn Colorado sucks...just enjoy that gift bag and go home!

Shaka finally unstoppable?

Texas v. UNC-Mauiville, NC @ 3:00p-CST
Another win vs. UNC in December...guaranteed money every year

Tell me about Texas Tech
Wells is done and he knows it. Probably already agreed to go back to Utah State behind the scenes now that the job is open

Tom "the turtle" Herman [Lame Duck or greatest 5d chess player ever?]
Not surprised at the win...this is what Tom Herman does. He loves to play the underdog. Only problem is that you're not going to be the underdog too often at Texas. If he wants to impress then win the games you're supposed to win instead of losing to mediocre TCU teams

Horns @ Pokes | Herman’s Death March | 3p CT FOX [41-34 final]
Finally. One more OK State turnover and this one is over...you know they will cough it up

Tom "the turtle" Herman [Lame Duck or greatest 5d chess player ever?]
He will be safe after this season no matter what. But after 2021 is when he will be fired once they go 7-5 with a new QB. Unfortunately, I don't know who will be the answer (realistically). The coaching cupboard is bare
