Another important point - Nixon never would have gone down for Watergate if the moron hadn't recorded everything. I think one of his cronies let it slip in an interview that Nixon had a tape recorder in the office and that was how Jaworski found out. Even with all the evidence, if Nixon hadn't been caught on tape literally directing crimes, the Republicans wouldn't have turned on him.
Don't get me wrong, AD is amazing. One of the best running backs I've ever seen. I think he's a superior talent to Evans. But Evans had one bad game and he's playing against a much higher level of competition. As someone who watches 5 minutes of hudl clips eating potato chips on my couch, AD is going to look better playing against 3A competition than he would the 6A competition that Evans plays against. That's all I'm saying.
This assumes, of course, that corporations don't just build the cost of paying the tax into the product/services they provide. Which they do. Once they get a tax cut, do you see a corresponding reduction in prices? Nope.
We pay the taxes for them, by virtue of higher priced goods and services.
If Kraft really isn't the biggest fish caught up in this, it has to be a political figure. If its Tiger, why not just put him on blast the same time as Kraft?
Didn't they release a list of everyone involved? If so, why are they withholding this "bigger" name? Why put Kraft out there and not this alleged bigger fish?
For 99% of people, the IRS already has all of your information (W-2s and 1099s are sent to both you and the IRS) and could easily file your taxes for you. Some congressman tried to have the IRS send you a draft with all your income they know about , assume the standard deduction/credits based on what they know about your family, and simply have you make edits as necessary, but the tax preparation software lobby (wish I was joking) stomped it out.
And we don't do a flat tax because it screws poor people.
Dude was drafting wills in rural Iowa in 2017. No joke. Jeffries worked for Paul Weiss, one of the ten or fifteen most prestigious law firms in the United States. Their professional bona fides could not be further apart.
Of all the unqualified partisan hacks Trump has appointed, this guy might be the most egregious. He went from writing wills in an insignificant four person law firm in Iowa in 2017 to ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES in 2018.
