Oh wow. Depending on your age, we might know at least a couple of people in common from the old Lazy E family. I went to HS with the kids. RIP to one of them.

The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread
Non-Anglo groups should listen to progressive Anglos when we tell them that conservative Anglos are racist as fuck, because most of us have seen how they behave and have heard what they say behind closed doors our entire lives. Yeah, we sound like Cassandras, but we've always been right on this point.

@Herbie Hancock Do you happen to be our Sweetwater guy? I vaguely recall someone mentioning they were from there. There's another BS guy, but he doesn't post as much, and I can't remember his handle. I think we've also got a Snyder Tiger, and for sure, a Lamesa Golden Tor and an Andrews Mustang.

2025 Texas High School Football
That certainly was the case for a while after we dropped down to 4A, but thanks to @Iceman's post a few weeks ago, you can see the record for yourself below. We're lucky #13 in all-time losses. Yeah, a lot of that is because of the size disparity when we were the smallest 5A in the state for several years, playing against the likes of Odessa, Permian, Midland, Lee, SA Central, Abilene, and Cooper back in the day, but we dropped down 40 fuckin' years ago after the AFB closed and oil went bust. But even as a fairly decent-sized 4A school, usually bouncing between 1200 and 1000 students, we don't have a stellar record. Since dropping down to 4A in 1986: 208-228-2. The last time we won district was 1990, and the last time we had a "good" season was 2014. Uploading Attachment... Uploading Attachment... 2025 5-5-0

2025 Texas High School Football
My neighbors, the folks over in Coahoma, aren't real excited about that 750-mile round trip out to Anthony. At the same time, here, folks seem excited about dropping to 4A-2 because a new charter school opened this year (Pathway in 2A-2 District 3 with Crosbyton, Lockney, Ralls, Roscoe, Tahoka). We historically suck at football, so they think we'll compete better. Probably, true. Personally, I find that attitude embarrassing, because "they" said the same thing when we dropped from 5A when I was in high school. Then, it was definitely true. We were like the Rice of the old Little Southwest Conference and, of course, reverted back to sucking after a few years. Man, it feels like the high school keeps getting chipped away at. About a third of the high school kids now zoned in the district are going elsewhere. Until now, that's been due to white flight, but from what I've seen, this effort seems to be led by a much more diverse group. The high school is literally turning into a shell of its former self, with it being half-empty now (built for 1500 kids).

If they were so in love with that logo, they should've beveled the block T correctly. Then, when the anm lawyers showed up, they could point out that unique feature and tell the aggy lawyers to fuck off. Uploading Attachment...

I've decided to dig a hole
No. The question's been asked many times, and we've never gotten an answer, which is now all part of the mysterious allure. Maybe we'll find out someday and we'll be abe to look back and say, "I was there." But until then, keep fuckin' digging, OP.

OUsux has a secondary logo with the state outline, which is where I think you’d find those types of logos.

Jeffrey Epstein needs his own thread
They've had MONTHS to get it right, and over a single weekend, the NYTimes finds all this shit. And yet, the Justice Department claims it has a team of more than 500 lawyers and reviewers poring over these documents? The Government Published Dozens of Nude Photos in the Epstein Files The photos, which showed young women or possibly teenagers with their faces visible, were largely removed after The New York Times began notifying the Justice Department. The Justice Department published dozens of unredacted nude images on its website, showing young women or possibly teenagers whose photos were contained in files related to the wealthy sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. As part of its required disclosure of the Epstein files, the federal government was tasked with redacting both sexually explicit imagery and information that could be used to identify victims. But in the process of reviewing more than three million pages uploaded to the Justice Department’s website on Friday, The New York Times came across nearly 40 unredacted images that appeared to be part of a personal photo collection, showing both nude bodies and the faces of the people portrayed. The people in the photos appeared to be young, although it was unclear whether they were minors. Some of the images seemed to show Mr. Epstein’s private island, including a beach. Others were taken in bedrooms and other private spaces. The release of these explicit photos comes after government lawyers have scrambled for weeks to meet the requirements of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which set a December 2025 deadline for releasing all of the files. The Times notified the Justice Department on Saturday of nude images that journalists had encountered and flagged more of them on Sunday. A spokeswoman said that the department was “working around the clock to address any victim concerns, additional redactions of personally identifiable information, as well as any files that require further redactions under the act, to include images of a sexual nature.” “Once proper redactions have been made, any responsive documents will repopulate online,” the spokeswoman said. Officials have largely removed or redacted the images that The Times flagged for them. The images appeared to show at least seven different people, although The Times did not seek to identify them. Annie Farmer, who has testified in court about how she was groomed and abused as a teenager by Mr. Epstein and his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, said the news of such imagery being public was “extremely disturbing.” She said it left her feeling naïve in thinking that the government would follow the law in protecting the victims. “It’s hard to imagine a more egregious way of not protecting victims than having full nude images of them available for the world to download,” Ms. Farmer said on Sunday. Other victims have expressed outrage that their names and other identifying information have been found in the files. Brittany Henderson, a lawyer for one woman who was identified in the files even though she had not previously been linked publicly to Mr. Epstein, called the redaction failures “abhorrent.” “We are frankly shocked by the level of carelessness that the department has shown towards these women,” she said. The Justice Department was supposed to release all of the Epstein files by Dec. 19 but missed the deadline. Friday’s release included not only millions of documents but also 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, and the Justice Department said a team of more than 500 lawyers and reviewers had worked on the publication process. The redactions at times appear haphazard and contradictory, with some files shielding someone’s name and a duplicate file elsewhere making the name public. One email described an “Epstein victim list” but then left dozens of subsequent names exposed, except for one that was redacted. Some victims are angry that their information was disclosed while powerful people’s names were shielded. In one case, records showed a text exchange between the former Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon and Mr. Epstein that referenced a news article about President Trump. An associated image of Mr. Trump appeared in the Justice Department files with a redaction box over his face. Last year, the Trump administration teased the release of investigative files but then backtracked. Democrats and a few Republicans then led an effort to pass a law requiring the files to be made public.

The Supremes
I suppose I understand why they don't want everything out in the open to see how the sausage is made in real time, but how can the citizens of a democracy fully trust court decisions -- even in the most normal of times -- when they double down by placing armed guards at the kitchen door. It simply raises more suspicion that the process isn't on the up-and-up, especially since they're the least representative and democratic branch of the government, with lifetime appointments and repeatedly issuing "shadow docket" bullshit decisions. A couple of quotes from the article: "The justices have immense power — they’re not elected. That power depends on our consent as a democracy and we have some interest in seeing how they’re using their power and making decisions." - Daniel Epps, Washington University School of Law “Many of the court’s decisions are being made out of the public eye in a way that makes it difficult to assess or criticize them, or to understand what actually motivated the justices. The lack of transparency makes it difficult for the broader public to know how to respond.” - Nikolas Bowie, Harvard Law School Aside from some really shitty decisions, according to this layman, this only goes further to undermine their credibility and, thus, legitimacy.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms HBO Max
I'm not sure; they could've been longer than I thought. If we assume 45+45+30=120 minutes for the first three and apply it to the next three, we're looking at a four-hour watch, plus breaks. So, yeah, you still knock it out in an evening.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms HBO Max
Or the Britons when the Anglo-Saxons came along. By the way, I'm really enjoying this show but echo the complaint about the episodes’ lengths. Pretty sure that when the whole thing's done, I'm going to go back and watch the full season back-to-back. With 6 episodes at 30 minutes a pop, that'll make for a fun evening.
