He was given the title of Associate head coach. He's the interim coach for a reason.
  2. Judging by how OU performed against Bama perhaps it would be smart to hold on to Moser until they begin SEC play.
  3. Completely uninspiring hire.
  4. Allen cant shoot beyond `18 feet and Carr can't get by anyone, however each of them knows where their spot is on their floor and works to get shots from their designated areas (more so true of Allen, Carr still veers towards hero ball too much for my liking but he's admittedly hit those tough shots more frequently this year). Make no mistake, they're good college basketball players, but when people say a team is talented and laud players for their talent you expect one or two exceptional traits that make it easy for them. No player on this team makes it look easy. They have to work really hard or have things set up for them to get to their spots.
  5. And truth be told Marcus Carr has been on a hot streak much of this year, but even at 6'5" he'd struggle to be in the NBA. He'd have difficulty getting by anyone playing with a 24 second shot. And his style where he constantly seems like he's off balance and playing like the court has a nice sheen of ice on it isn't an NBA guard's game irrespective of his height.
  6. Yes you're correct, if they were totally different players they'd be in the NBA.
  7. MItchell really impressed me with his play today. He made a couple of high IQ plays and passes on the offensive end and showed well on the defensive end down thew stretch as well. I hope he stays for another year. Because Donewald's biggest claim to fame before becoming a full-time assistant was in player development. He's the type of guy who could really upgrade Mitchell's skill level with a full offseason provided we go to the Final 4 this year and the entire staff is retained.
  8. Same here. We match up really well with KU.
  9. I have to say, at the risk of ruffling a lot of feathers around here, this team is no where near as talented as a lot of us pretend they are. What they are is a team that is super experienced with a bunch of high IQ players. More specifically we're loaded with a core group of players who are supremely aware of what they're good at individually and rarely venture outside of it. But to say they're a super talented group is a leap too far in my opinion. I'd be highly surprised if any of a our upperclassmen spent a single second in the NBA. Just wanted to voice my petty disagreement because I see this claim repeated around here way too often.
  10. He doesn't look anything like Arterio Morris. What the hell are you talking about? Tre isnt anywhere near as athletic as Morris and he's super refined and uber skilled. He's about the most skilled 2 guard I've seen at his age in a long time.
  11. I thought the the same thing at the time.
  12. Should be on the espn app.
  13. We went to Manhattan and took that shit like a middle school bully taking lunch money.
  14. Bishop and Allen have been cooking all game and now in our moment of need Carr's cold ass decides he needs to take over.
  15. Smart of Terry to call for full court pressure there knowing a few seconds ticked off during the initial tipped ball out of bounds.
  16. Bishop and Allen's energy this half has set the tone. This is the sort of competiveness we need to carry on throughout the rest of the season.
  17. Regardless of what happens we are competing today.
  18. We are D'ing the fuck up. Fuck what they say Rice was in defensive position.

  20. Carr needed to get Bishop the fucking ball the last time down the court. Bishop had been cooking and had a midget on him. Instead he launched a no pass 3.

Donewald has experience overseas which is what I remember Gerry specifically highlighting about him in terms of recruiting efforts. I'm not sure that he had more portal responsibility over any other assistant, but I could be wrong. Beard himself was the expert in that area from my reading of things.
  22. Yeah that's why I was confused. I remember him mentioning that one of his kids were switching from private to public. I guess I assumed it was the older kid.
  23. I thought Corby's kid went to Lake Highlands. But after his story about his kid's team getting their ass whipped by 50 points it's clear he doesn't go there.
