Damn, that is a handsome cat--but a killer.
I had some vermin build a nest in my hot tub housing a few years ago. I set out some rat traps, but they kept getting sprung but no rat death. So I put out of my game cams to get a better idea of the prey. Come to find out it was a big ass rat that I saw on camera first night. Second night I had a pic of a cat that looks like yours crouching and staring at the rat portal on the hot tub. Starting on day 3, I never saw the rat or the cat again.
Day 4, I hoisted a Belgian tripel in honor of Slayer. Somewhere right now I envision he has a belly full of rat innards and is yolwing at a catacita.
Still on steady rotation in my gym list. Brother was a huge Sabbath fan so went to bed on top bunk many nights with him spinning some BS LPs. RIP Ozzy. You were a major part of the soundtrack of my early teens.
Thanks LCHorn. I am sympathetic to the pollinators but damn it sucks to sit in the house and stare at a pool through the screened in porch because the mosquitos have taken over the back yard. And I would have to spray my neighbors' areas too. I have all the good stuff--permethrin and bifen.
Anyone try a Dynatrap?
Grew up outside of Kerrville. When I was a kid (40 years ago), my favorite places in the universe were:
the arcade in the mall very near the Hastings
the Mr. Gatti’s in the mall parking lot (personal pan pizza and that big TV made us think we were the Aristocrats)
The bowling alley/skating place between Ingram and Kerrville—Skating in a huge circle while Abracadabra blasted on the PA was high culture. My kids are amazed at how well I can still skate at 52 in short shorts and a cutoff shirt
Acapulcos Mexican restaurant near Ingram long before Mamacitas show upped. We would go to Kerrville to buy groceries. We would stop at Acapulcos and dad would slam margaritas and mom would drive home. Sometimes we could get her to jam whatever cassette we had bought in Hastings.
Did your sister come home one hot July night with some extra fly Schottische dance moves? If so, we may.
And I got bloodied up a few times in the dirt lot outside the fence. If that was you, I’ve still had enough.
Grew up very near Hunt. My high school and even most college year summer Saturday nights, we would head over to Crider’s to dance on the slab after the rodeo. Camp counselor girls rotated shifts on getting Saturday nights off so there was a different crop of city girls that thought we were good summer fun local flings. Wore the soles off several pairs of boots teaching Dallas debutants how to 2-step. Some of my favorite moments in this life. Can’t imagine this all playing out down there. I’ll kick some Strait to my Bluetooth and send good wishes that way. Thinking about you all with kids down there. Hope good news is released soon.
Slice of avocado, some sliced pickled jalepenos, potatoes (not pickles)cooked in butter in a foil pouch, not canned pinto beans with a dallop of La Costa Salsa Casera—but close enough
I had planned to make potato salad but I got too drunk so i sliced the potatoes and scooped on some butter, ample salt and a lot of pepper and into a tinfoil pouch onto the smoker with the ribs for the last hour. Technique of some old piasanos from back home on the border. Easy and fantastic. Bad lighting made them look pickley
This is the best I have ever used. And there is not even a close second. You can get it delivered through some Ace Tru-Value stores. It has full branches so big that you may have to bust out the hatchet. Great for the smoker and the grill.

Yes, I actually do more 2: 1.5: 1
My spares were 2.5: 1.5 : 1
Thanks for the tips on the sauce.
The the spares were packed in two slabs. So I still have a slab left. Might try the Goldee method this weekend while pool floating
Petey. Devon Rex with an odd story of how he came to live here. First cat I have ever really been around. He’s about 6 months old now and is more funny than not. He talks constantly, which was cute at first but wears thin at times. He’s cool by me.
Been out of the country so had a ton of yard work today. Figured I could watch a smoker while I toiled away. I usually 321 baby backs but spares were on sale. First time I ever cooked spare ribs this way. Came out pretty good.
