Do you think that the Ds were overconfident because of X and TikTok?
  6. Another election night murder. You can't really blame the media's influence, or Trump hyperbole on this one, but I'm sure it didn't help. Google results LINK

  9. The methods of survival and competition and it's consequences on all of us is probably the most ubiquitous human experience. Not friendship, or love, or religion, or appreciating nature. Competing and surviving is what we do here, and it has an ugly side from cavemen to now. The things we learned by surviving and competing forms maybe our strongest foundation of what we can learn by looking in the mirror. Fucking up is what we do, and therefore learning is also what we do. Erasing other cultures is a great strategy for having more to yourself. A superior survival tool because it removes the competition. We all (humans) did it. We still do it. It's who we are. Seek and ye shall find. When you're looking at all of our history, and not just some of our history, you'll find things that we can all learn from. Seek to teach us all.
  10. This is what I replied to. You didn't ask a question that I could answer.

  12. So, a Lefty is telling another Lefty how to Lefty? What are you afraid of?
  13. She's a lefty. You'll allow her to choose how she's a lefty wont you? By the old left/right metrics (which I accept have been massively disrupted) I am left wing. Not hard left, but definitely left of centre. However, I believe the left in the West has taken a dangerous and self-defeating turn, embracing a form of identity politics that is fundamentally destructive to values the left once respected, especially freedom of speech and fundamental liberalism. I'm not a tribal person, so I haven't embraced those positions because 'my team' has decreed that's what we're doing now. Yes, I've received a lot of blowback from the left for not meekly accepting the new ethos. But principles aren't dictated by other people's approval. I was never in this to feel part of a team (one of the undersung benefits of being a true introvert). So I won't be running to embrace a new team to feel good about myself, because that would be just as insincere as pretending to believe in the identity stuff to keep myself in with the left. j.k.
  14. Right there with you girl. A seventh team just announced that they wont be playing San Jose State because there is a man on the team.
