I never could groove it either. I bought Blow by Blow and Wired when they were released and both were sort of flat to me. And I never went back to that well. It was like John McLaughlin Mahavishnu light without Jean-Luc Ponty and Jan Hammer.
Awesome. I have printed hundreds of shots from a similar 4x5 negative. My old man was a CID agent that pulled dual duty as the crime lab guy (I have no idea what his MOS was). Taught me how to use both a Leica and Speedgrahic while we were there.
I’m going to guess it was a good duty station for him, as all I seem to remember is a bunch of undercover CID agents sitting around drinking, whoring, and enjoying the sun. I don’t remember if I ever saw my dad in uniform while we were there.
The fun didn’t last however. Our next station was Kegnew Station. If you don’t know it, Google that fucker. Man we ended up in some shit holes.
I believe it will eventually fall on whether or not the powers that be determine if the athletes are “employees”. If they fall under labor law (like wage and hour) the universities would have a mess on their hands. Earning money from outside sources would be a lot easier for the universities then having a payroll.
I saw Little River in the late 70’s while Graham Davidge was still playing lead. They played what felt like a 15 minute version of “A Long Way There”. The only thing I can say, is as a lead guitarist he was unexpectedly good. I mean like, who the fuck is that guy good.
I’m still an old fashioned film, Hasselblad, Ilford Galleria grade 3 paper type of guy. That being said I would absolutely love to print the bird shot, sorry I don’t know the species. But, you could easily print all 11 grads. That is a fine photograph right there.
Amazing what a nice bottle and topper will do for selling a product. You would think bt has to be catching up on production of that soon with all the expansions.
BT could just about bottle creek water, call it something catchy, and within a few months it would cost 5 times its msrp.
