That's what it sounds like with Stewart. And maybe they got good signals on the call. Also, there is certainly smoke with Barton.

I have a question about Jaydon Blue but don't want to bump his thread. What explains his big disparity in rankings among the services? On 247, he's #39 nationally and the #2 RB. On ESPN, he's #84. And Rivals has him at #243. Are Rivals and ESPN lowering him because he's sitting out his senior season? Or does 247 have him too high?- OU sucks game week.
What's weird is that, for the most part, all the deep throws have missed for the same reason: Casey put too much on them. That seems fixable. I keep waiting for Casey to let up just a bit, but he's still overthrowing almost every time. The other problem, which has been less of an issue overall, is bad decisions. He takes some risks that he shouldn't take, but it hasn't cost us a game yet, and if he can connect on some of the deep balls, then the risk may be worth it overall.- Media/$9.95-er postgame analysis articles (Week 5)
That game is seared into my memory. It must have been the emotion of it all. Very similar ending to our Okie lite game that same year.- OU sucks game week.

That's a bizarre take. There's a lot of hate, but I don't see fans acting insulted by people thinking TCU is a legit opponent.- Texas WR/TE Passing Offense Talk
Shit, as a dad... it's fucking dusty in here.- Casey Thompson
I've been impressed with Sark's good decisions - hiring good coaches, developing a balanced offense, pushing to win convincingly. But I've been far more impressed with how he's responded to his bad decisions, namely, his willingness to give Casey the starting job when Card was struggling. Every coach will make some bad decisions, but the best coaches correct course, while bad coaches double down and make the team suffer as a result.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
This thread has gone to shit- Casey Thompson
Good grief does it feel good to have a QB I trust, who excels at running a good offensive scheme, and is surrounded by playmakers and effective at getting the ball to them. I haven't felt this good about Texas football since 2008/2009. And kudos to Sark for switching to the backup. Over the years, how many times have the fans clamored to give the backup a chance only to have a Texas HC dig in and stick with a starter who is struggling?? Sark actually made the switch, and it is fucking working. Holy shit, we might have a badass head coach this time. And the future looks good! If we can keep Thompson for one more year, that'll give Card and Malik time to mature in the system. The RB room is stacked. Worthy is a true freshman. Recruiting class is #4 with all our 5* targets still on the board. Hot damn, we may be going places.- Jimbo 2022: Balls To The Face
They're watching aggy games with Sark in his office for crying out loud. What do they think Sark is telling the recruits? "Well, that play was just bad luck. We all know that the Fightin' Texas Aggies are better than that!"- NLRB: Student athletes are employees
Has the NLRA been amended? It sounds like this is an agency interpretation of what the Act means rather than a change in the Act. If so, the courts will ultimately say whether the agency's interpretation is correct. Edit: this seems dubious to me. The law has not changed. The NRLA and college sports have co-existed for decades, and student athletes have never been deemed employees. If this memo is correct, then universities have been misclassifying student athletes for decades. Not impossible, but it strikes me as extremely unlikely.- 2021 CFB Polls/Rankings
As of now, we have 6 ranked teams on our schedule - LA, OU, OSU, Baylor, ISU, and KSU. Make that 7 if you count arky (they were unranked we played them). Take care of business and the polls will follow. Edit: that's from espn. It looks like they haven't updated for today's polls.- 6figs/"Trust the Hamm" greatest hits
Haynes King was terrible in limited play. Although I totally get why aggy would see a similarity to Colt Mccoy.- 9.13.21 Coach Sark press conference 11am
The QB decision maybe issue #3 in terms of importance, but it is #1 on the list of immediately fixable things that could have the greatest impact on our program. The oline is the biggest problem, but we won't solve that problem any time soon. In the meantime, we need to adjust what we can to neutralize problems with the oline. Casey does a couple of things well in this regard. First, from everything we've seen, he's faster at finding an open receiver, and when he sees the separation, he pulls the trigger quick. Second, if nothing is open, he's decisive about getting north/south for whatever yards he can. Those QB traits are critical if the line is weak. We had a bad oline when Colt was playing, but he was so fast getting rid of the ball and so good on his feet that the line problems did not cost us games. Casey is a very different player from Colt, but I see how he could cover up oline problems similar to how Colt did. Also, as we saw Saturday, we have a good defense at first but one that wears out if our offense cannot sustain drives. If Casey can sustain drives, he'll help us not only on offense but also on defense (by giving them a rest). So this could be a significant improvement. Definitely worth trying. - Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
