  1. I've long thought Sydney's posts were all transcribed with voice to text at rage volume 11
  2. They overlapped in 2014 - Parker missed the first 7 games of the season and returned to almost match his highest season yardage total (835 v 885) averaging 142.5 yds/gm and 20 yds/rec.
  3. Petrino will pitch a DaVante Parker role to Stewart. Unlikely that resonates. SIAP, but this is an incredible, scathing take on Petrino to aggy https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/first-and-10-bobby-petrino-jimbo-fisher-disaster-waiting-to-happen/
  4. I watched Ball State a couple times in midweek games this season and Carson Steele is the truth. Dude looks like Peyton Hillis
  5. We could have afforded another RB before Blue, so I'd say adding one is imperative. If either of Brooks or Baxter are out for any length of time, we have no backfill for an every down back. Especially if Brooks misses time - a true freshman + gadgetguygang are not going to win a conference. A bigger, experienced, Gabe Watson type is a good insurance policy.
  6. Here's a couple interesting to me comparisons: Top 10 Comparison 2023 2024 5*s 6 4 #10 Rating 0.971 0.9606 (in '23, #15 was rated .9606) #10 Natl. Ranking 62 73 At first glance, pretty close, especially since Cook became a composite 5* late in the cycle and Owens almost dropped out. I don't think that the top of the in-state class is as strong as it has been in the past, but we're also working with incomplete data. This could be a super deep class, but without personally watching a zillion hudls, we don't really know. The covid driven, in-person evaluation ban was in place from 3/13/20 - 6/1/21 which had an enormous and obvious impact on the '22 and '23 classes. While '24s have not had "traditional" opportunities to be evaluated taken from them, services and college staffs spent more time on the previous two classes after the ban was lifted, which was imo, at the expense of a full and complete eval of the '24s. 247/on3/Rivals/.........ESPN wouldn't even have a combined headcount that would support evaluating all of the prospects worth evaluating and rating. There are other factors at play here for why a hs prospect may be underrecruited and invisible to the services like saving hs offers for the portal and roster count ambiguity, but we may be looking at a new, shortened timeline of interest for any given class. Despite our collective interest in a 1k class thread of meltdowns, I'm all for a more focused coverage of a prospect cycle. Makes it a lot easier to follow, and I don't spend any time watching the highlights of some unranked Freshman DL from Olney who will absolutely never get an offer.
  7. Jeremy Clark, the 247 frog mod put in a pick for Jelani McDonald to Texas this morning
  8. From the inside looking out, he's better off not explaining it.
  9. TCU commit, and senior riser offer Warren Roberson is still unsigned. Twitter follow science says sparky is getting involved. https://www.on3.com/db/warren-roberson-146693/ Maybe he's too redundant to Derek Williams, but he looks like a take to me at a position of need. Would be a good late flip for Carrington.
  10. Your shitposting has really gotten out of hand.
  11. Luke Huard is former UW/NFL QB and current media personality, Brock Huard's brother. A milquetoast people. This is an hilarious admission. "We knew we'd have to pay players, but we never guessed it would be legal". Absolute dumbfuckery, all around.
  12. So your theory is that Jimbo Fisher is going to replace his proprietary blend of bullshit with offensive philosophy taught secondhand through a guy who hasn't received a merit based promotion since 2010?
  13. Actually, none of those are arguable. They all have better resumes.
  14. I don't believe that athletes were fairly compensated pre-NIL. The letter of intent binding them to a school tipped the scales toward the institution. While signing an NLI isn't a financial guarantee of delivery on promises, it does put the collective on the hook to follow through - that's good business. All things being (ambiguous, but relatively) equal now, I'm not a proponent of athletes skirting the deadline, just in case Ruiz/Knight/anyone get a desperate phone call. That puts the team at a disadvantage as they would be unable to pursue elite talent to fill roster needs. Instead, all of them would be luxury takes. I agree with the coaching change point made here and above. That said, we've seen multiple signees be let out of their NLI. If we could remove any institutional discretion required to allow it, I'd be perfectly happy with how it currently works.
  15. Not anymore, imo. 5 stars are going to land big payouts, but the entities on the hook for them aren't going to be strung along. The pool isn't bottomless. On top of that, roster management is impossible when you're waiting to find out who of your class enrolls. The fall transfer portal would be insane. Personally, I think it would be unfortunate to watch commits hold a whole team hostage for the potential of a higher bidder. Signing a NLI is good for everyone now, prospects included.
  16. He explicitly said the latter while dancing around a name.
  17. I was dating a girl in Phoenix and applied to ASU to placate her. Got into Texas, waitlisted by ASU. One of the more inexplicable things that has ever happened to me, although Phoenix girl found meth so maybe there is a god
  18. The long edge from the boot we offered mid-season is going to sparky https://www.on3.com/db/ashley-williams-151498/recruiting/
