2022 Transfer Thread - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Bijan: RB, WR-Z, WR-Y Roschon: RB, WR-Y Worthy: WR-Z, WR-X, WR-Y Whittington: WR-Y, WR-Z, RB, and probably WR-X Billingsley: TE-Flex (H), motion to any WR depth Sanders: TE-Inline, TE-Flex, motion to any WR depth I'm not sure I agree with all of the fragile Whittington comments here either. The guy was wound up like a spring to showcase glamour muscles, got got with strains, changed his behavior and broke a collarbone. The injury prevention things he's done have worked. I agree, he needs to prove it through a season, but I don't attribute the collarbone injury to vanity or within his control.

The versatility of Bijan, Worthy, Whittington, Roschon, Billingsley, and Sanders make personnel groupings pretty impossible to predict. We could line up in 22 and motion into 10, 11, 01, or empty. We could line up in 10 and end up in 11, 12, 21, or 22. The optionality is what makes it attractive.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Fun fact, Wilson was the third leg in the LT 4x100 (jr yr I think) and received the baton from one Hudson Card. I don’t remember him as a track guy, but he was running 4.6 which is what half of our current board runs, Cook included. Wilson is actually a good “best case scenario” for what Cook could be developmentally. Wilson is more athletic, but at the same point I think Cook does more receiver things than Wilson did. Regardless, Sark would fucking love Garrett Wilson. This was the scenic route to calling you stupid.

Brilliant. Let’s go blow booster wads on a one year rental for a season where 10 wins is a goddamn miracle. This defense will lose games. Now explain to your bankroll how this perceived loss is just a predictor of future gains. <niccagecrazyeyes.gif> We have not hit on hs prospects, that’s the point. Again, Addison would be great, but I’m not confident this team wins 9 games with or without him. If he transferred here and we performed poorly, that’s a negative data point in recruiting future stars in seasons where we might be competitive.

The replies are wild in this. Twitter is truly a terrible place. BUT LOOK AT THE ENGAGEMENT. Gonna have to screencap that shit for your next “why I deserve a raise” PowerPoint.

LVBS may end up at blOU. Not ideal. He’s caught 44/518 in 16 games, including pac12 Covid fuckery. He has all the tools to be really good. Not fast but his hs tape was awesome. Massive catch radius for his size. He’d be a great J-Whitt contingency plan and we need depth with eligibility and developmental upside. Chasing Addison to play 1 season with a first year qb in a new system behind a line with 1-2 (3) true freshman on it feels like a bad idea for everyone involved. If we’re seriously going to add to that room again, get a guy who can grow here. Addison would be great, but…I mean come on.

The sticks and stones appeared to have obscured my point from your view, apologies. And I lumped your idiot ideas together and attributed them to both, apologies aggy has paid handsomely to be the first stop in the early, unregulated years of college free agency. While paying market rate for proven commodities has become a reality, they’ve chosen to take the more well trodden, illegal route of securing elite prospects. I understand that you think aggy made the smart move by signing an incredible class. My point is that aggy is the first stop for 75% of those guys, busts included, and it is a poor move in retrospect. Financially and strategically. It escalated more quickly than their plan hoped for. Is this not the common sentiment? What’s the alternative opinion? They’ll future pay legitimately the ones that perform to stay in College Station and not go closer to home/bama/more money/out of cs? I just don’t understand that perspective.- 2022 Transfer Thread - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Just to make sure we're absolutely clear You two chucklefucks believe that overpaying 18yo's before they hit campus was the appropriate reaction to cfb free agency, and that aggy's payments to recruits and their families was entirely above board? You're either being aggressively contrarian or are a case study in Dunning-Kruger.- 2023 Transfer Thread - Texas Capitalized, ATM Victimized

Agreed, but I would be surprised if they let any of the OL depth take a hit. Merrill isn't actually depth though so who knows. I'd add Ish, Liebrock, and Chucky Wright to your list. - 2022 Transfer Thread - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
