Yup. We're supposed to be in Park City the week of March 1, a week before Spring Break starts. They've have one inch in the past two weeks with not much in the forecast. A high of FIFTY is expected on Thursday.
Had never heard of him unitl my freshman year at Jester in 1980 (yes, I'm old). I had heard of Deep Purple and The James Gang. A guy on my floor played this Teaser album all the time. A great, great record.
Mrs. Smwhorn and I are looking at possible ways to get my 91 year old mother in law and our dawg (small mini Aussie but not small enough to fly in cabin on a commercial flight) on a private flights from either Austin or Houston to Salt Lake City. No way could we do this commercially. Neither the MIL or the Dawg snow ski, but that's a different thread for a different day. Any Surly hooligans ever fly private through NetJets or any of these others whose services come up regularly on my iphone feeds? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Anyone wanna take my ninety one year old mother in law to Salt Lake so we don't have to? Just really looking to see if this is an option for us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mrs. Smwhorn and I agree that the writing for the female characters has not been all that great.
Speculation is that Pop is going to come up with some magical/great idea that no one else thought of that gets everyone out of the mess they're in currently.
I started a thread sometime back about All The LIght We Cannot See being made into a movie. The book is awesome and one of the best I've read in a long, long time (and I'm old).
I did not see the movie bc of so many negative posts about the movie and how it deviated from the book.
It's a great book. If you haven't read it, put it on your list.
And Keegan's been playing every week too. Can't blame him really bc he's been playing great, but not focused solely on the RC like Luke Donald. Not making excuses for Keegan's captaincy decisions, just thinking it is probably better to have a captain who does nothing else (mostly) during his tenure.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with this take . . .
And for this pairing, I'm just glad to get a half point from a match the US otherwise would have probably lost.
We're (six old guys) renting an Airbnb in Jacksonville. Any suggestions on best ways in and out of Gainesville? We are probably just going to drive in and out on the day of the game. Parking/backroads/pregame suggestions would be much appreciated.
I'll hang up and listen.
Worst fans ever. I'm 62. I've been going to Longhorn games since I was 4 (yes, really, parents met at and graduated from Texas).
Worse than Arky, which is saying something. After the VY game in Columbus, they were peeing in beer bottles and gatorade bottles and throwing them a Texas fans.
Lots of great movies.
The scene between Ice and Mav in Top Gun Maverick, although short, was fucking nails.
This is a nice moment. Let's not ruin it.
RIP Val.
