2020 Fall Camp Thread
No, I absolutely get that. I'm specifically talking about the notion that a kid would strategically opt-out because they're buried on the depth chart, i.e. opting out "due to insane athletes ahead of me that I won’t beat out."

2020 Fall Camp Thread
I've been curious about this. My understanding is that nobody's eligibility is impacted this season: whether they opt-in and start in every game or they opt-out and play zero games. So I don't see how a player would benefit from strategically opting-out due to playing time concerns. If I'm a guy that's resigned to the fact that I won't see the field this year, and I know my eligibility will be the same whether I'm sitting on the bench or sitting at home, I'd prefer to spend this year training and traveling with the team to improve my chances of getting playing time next year. What am I missing?

Earl Campbell being Earl Campbell
Christ. That dude looks ready to plow through gaps in the offensive line and in the sorority house.

We're here to catch footballs and catch COVID. And we're all out of footballs.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
Does wanting the kids to play this year also mean you don't care if 9/10 of them get CTE? Or whatever the going rate is for brain trauma among college football athletes? Seems possible that wanting* kids to play this year while also being extremely concerned about their health and well-being aren't mutually exclusive imo.- It's Been 15 Years
I wish we'd break out those throwback unis more often too. I love our regular home unis, but the plain burnt orange shirt with no 'TEXAS' across the chest and no nameplate just look clean as hell.- It's Been 15 Years
That defensive backfield too. Two different Jim Thorpe award winners in Aaron Ross and Huff Daddy. Plus Cedric and Michael Griffin just because.- It's Been 15 Years
At least we haven't lost by 55+ to anyone lately. Feels like that was happening pretty regularly under a certain recent head coach that shall remain nameless.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
You have our Apollo-gies.- Spencer Rattler seems like he sucks
We got a W against Baker and a W against Kyler when our program was worse than it is now. We'll eat against Spencer too.- Tell Me About Texas a&m
I ain't tryna hurr that.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
I actually sat in club seating exactly once in my life years and years ago when my old boss hooked up some tickets. I got fucking plastered, ate about a pound of ham, and got a picture with a very annoyed-looking Vince Young. 8/10 would recommend.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
^ This. I need to know how many full size McConaugheys my savings account can buy me.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
Are the cardboard cutouts they're selling going to be scattered among the actual fans in attendance? I might like to check out a game but watching it surrounded by soulless, lifeless cardboard cutouts of other fans sounds like something from a GD horror movie.- Spencer Rattler seems like he sucks
Yeah he'll be like a 3/10.- Spencer Rattler seems like he sucks
Just wait until Ossai and Coburn are done with that dude's face.- Tell Me About Texas a&m
Texas A&M actually has a surprisingly diverse student body. It doesn't matter whether your ancestors were German, Irish, or German-Irish, all Caucasians are welcome in College Station.- Texas RB Talk
If Roschon is our best RB, and he wasn't a RB until late last year, does that mean that he's just an otherworldly wunderkind or is Ingram just not that good?- No, Mike Leach, YOU'RE awesome! [Pirates Last Voyage]
Mike Leach calling someone else a "sanctimonious troll" is like Tom Herman calling someone else an "arrogant jackass."- 2020 Coaching Staff
I'm down to bring VY back as our QB assuming he can show up sober like, what, 45% of the time?- 2020 Coaching Staff
I'm getting 2015 Sonny Cumbie vibes from Graham Harrell. Maybe he's just not that into us. Assuming he doesn't become an HC, his options are to: (a) stay to work for a head coach that's probably getting fired next year; or (b) leave to work for a head coach that's probably getting fired next year. Both schools are willing and able to money whip him. The only differences are that Herman sucks to work for, and that option A is a known quantity for him--he's already done it successfully for a season. I feel like, as with all things Texas football related, this is going to end in disappointment.- 2020 Coaching Staff
So if Graham comes to Texas that means we get Bru McCoy back, right? I always thought he had a few more transfers left in him. - College Football in 2020 in danger?
