Drivers bitch about other drivers. Receivers ask for pass interference on every play. Soccer players fall down like they have been shot after getting brushed by a butterfly.
This is the way.
Both RB cars pitted at lap 36. LH had been on Hards since lap 14. While you can't predict the future, that's a long way to go and not expect someone to bring out the safety car. I think Mercedes had time to pit later in the race and still be in the lead. Maybe I'm wrong and perhaps it doesn't make a difference with Max on his super fresh set of softs though. I am amazed at how quickly they cleared the wreckage. I was sure we were going to finish under yellow.
Man, it sucks that we are all sitting here bitching about the race officials and rules instead of the on track excitement.
Everyone was at fault today. Masi was an idiot. I applaud the effort to have the race finish under green, but if he wanted to clear the midfield, he needed to relay that information earlier and allow RB & Mercedes to plan accordingly. He has made shitty decisions all year and I hope he gets fired. He is the Angel Hernandez of F1.
Mercedes can bitch all they want, but they had ample opportunity in the latter part of the race to pit and get a fresh set of tires. They played the conservative game, rolled the dice and lost. Poor race management by Toto. Never leave the game in the hands of the officials.
Even with the Masi gift, Red Bull still earned it on the track today. Perez was amazing as a teammate today and the late swap to a fresh set of softs for Max was a great call. The whole team at RB pulled together to get max P1.
Also, LH and Max are both whiny unlikable bitches. I would love to see Riccardo, Lando and Alonso in competitive cars next year so I would actually have someone to root for.
Race day plan C for Mercedes will be to have Bottas stuff his car into the wall and pull out the safety car for Hamilton to either pit or nurse his tires under yellow for several laps. Here is your parting bonus check Valtteri.
Max needs to learn to dial it back a half click. He is the best driver on the track if he could just get his head out of his ass. Last week kissing the wall with a 0.3 sec advantage while only needing 0.1. Flat spotting his mediums yesterday and screwing the race strategy today. He got caught sleeping at the start today. He has been his own worst enemy over the past several races and you can tell the pressure got to him.
Lando P3 worked out well for Red Bull. I don't think he will be wanting to dive in to inadvertently take out either Max or LH at the start. Expect to see Perez on the softs to pass him pretty early on and hassle LH while Max tries to build a lead and salvage having to start on the soft tires. Bottas will be a non factor as he prepares for his Alfa Romeo future next year.
Slipstreaming behind the car in front of you to reduce aerodynamic resistance and achieve a higher top speed.
Here is Horner discussing Max's lap today:
Team Principal Christian Horner provided further insight into how Red Bull used the tow to match Mercedes on the straights and out-qualify them.
“We discussed the slipstream this morning,” he said. “We lowered the downforce, it was the only way to match [Mercedes] on the straights. Q2 came more towards us, and then both runs in Q3 were exceptional. That tow, Checo working with his team mate; absolutely perfect teamwork today. I think that's one of Max's best laps of the year,” he said.
Only 0.4 seconds faster with softs and a huge tow from Perez. I think Mercedes is in a pretty nice spot for tomorrow. Whatever "aero" they figured out has been pretty magical for the back half of the season.
I eventually had enough and decided to go teach my teenage son how to drive in the snow and ice on the mountain roads. It was a surprisingly less painful experience. Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Blue Bloods on TV also provides me some quiet as he is fully engaged with those.
Biden’s foreign policy in the Middle East was the topic of conversation during the Macy’s parade this morning. Something about the liberals being responsible for the recent robberies in San Francisco. Currently complaining about electric cars and how we can’t cut down trees anymore while watching the Cowboys. FIL has been on a roll today. Can I trade places with anyone of you who has a meth addict visiting? At least that would be entertaining. Just 2 more days.
It looks like the back of the neck is trash.
While, I do agree that you will get more guitar for your money used, when I was getting my 1st guitar I had no clue how to spot problem issues with a used guitar. I went new because I felt more comfortable that things would be right or could be addressed under warranty if necessary.
If you are not committed to Les Paul, the Strat that Napoleon posted is a great deal on a really good guitar. Spend a few bucks on a setup and you should be good for a long while. Spend your extra funds on a good modeling amp, cable, strap etc.
Of the Epiphone's I agree that this one is probably the best bang for the buck that you have listed. If you email Sweetwater, they should be a willing to do a bit better on the price than the website MSRP. This one also comes with a case. As you start dropping down the Epiphone or Fender line, the case disappears and you will end up having to add that in to your purchase as well.
