  1. Not being mentioned much, but seeing Montrell Estell hold up decently well is very encouraging to see
  2. squeegeedegg replied to Sgt Hulk's topic in Football
He's just a TE that doesn't like blocking
  3. These guys truly seem to think more than 1 score lead is good enough
  4. Holy shit lol each team is just doing all they can to keep each other in the game
  5. Speaking of... I haven't seen CTJ post lately
  6. Hey JWash and Mehringer... Take notes from every other team in the Big 12 pls, starting now
  7. What a horrendous second season Sterns is having so far. Each year I get hyped that he's going to show out against schools like LSU and OSU given the history and connections he shares with each but nope nada
  8. But we played the off-season practices super ultra hard so that means OSU should be no problem right?
  9. As is tradition, let's go ahead and kick start a freshman's Heisman campaign for him
  10. Im gonna just say it. I need to start caring less about football. Years of Charlie ineptitude gone and the team is head and shoulders above where it was just a few years ago but I still can't fucking enjoy any of it because all I see are the stupid choices and stupid mistakes
  11. Reminds me way too much of a dude I went to high school with. DJ Grant out of LBJ '08... Looked great at WR beasting on short, skinny corners. Like Grant, I sure hope Omeire gets turned into a TE at Texas
  12. Coach speak there... Cade and especially Reese have a looong way to go in the running game and pass blocking
  13. Lmao how does he see anything with his helmet on
  14. Okie Lite... blowU is more aggy than OSU
  15. Looks delicious but... Where's the chimichurri?
  16. Iowa does have the best bacon... I would just stick to a plate full of that and forget about brisket for the day
  17. That's a good point, but I think both safeties started dedicating more help to the outside corners early in the 2nd quarter which resulted in the middle being easily exploited on the first LSU touchdown. This made it even easier on Burrow as now neither the corners could stick with their man nor could the safeties cut off the middle of the field throwing lanes. I love Ossai, but his backpeddal is simply too slow, same for McC. It seems like adjustments in the secondary actually just made things easier for a smart qb like Burrow. Jones and Sterns just made themselves non factors trying to help both the corners and the LBs
  18. Hell, if Ossai and McCulloch swapped roles on the 3rd and 17, and if Coburn doesn't try to get cute acting like he's Dwight Freeney spinning around in front of the guard and instead collapses the pocket even half a yard... then that play call works and works big. Little things make all the difference in football, but aggressive defense is always best defense. Fix these little things and learn from mistakes, and suddenly the stats will stop looking horrifying. We're liking the offense sure, but it's clear Herman/Beck are struggling with not having Andrew Beck anymore, and same can be said for TO not having Gary Johnson and to a lesser extent Kris Boyd. Just imagine the hordes of Cajuns spewing spittle out of their crawfish-holes if they lost the game due to throwing the ball on 2nd down and again on 3rd and 17 with a lead and their vaunted ESSS-ERRR-SEEE defense sitting on the sideline. As far as bad playcalls go, that's a bad one. But it worked so they're all getting worked up on fermented crab and filling up their jizz canteens
  19. Well, he is good. Very good
  20. Sure didn't ... Guess that's the joke
  21. Had no idea Mack Brown could turn a team soft in just one off season
  22. Way too much overthinking going on in the secondary, and Cook is no exception. Flashbacks of Will Grier running for the corner and Cook freezes ball watching in the end zone while JaMarr Chase literally runs a circle around him. As a fan I need to see more than that to desire to see the guy starting. He's backing up Green anyway and I think it should stay that way for now. Jamison over Boyce should be the discussion if there's gonna be any leapfrogging on the depth chart.
  23. With regards to Cook, just watch the LSU 2 point conversion and look for #4
