The Athletic Scoops Sark interested in NFL Jobs
Lanning isnāt leaving for any other college job. Lane would probably only jump for a few schools and Texas would definitely be one of them. Heās always talking about NIL disadvantages and this would finally give him everything he thinks he needs.

Does Lea not have enough skins on the wall to be considered? I know heās rocking with a bunch of super seniors but heās punching way above his weight class the last 2 years and those teams play tough.

How can you keep trotting Arnold out there. Heās shown week after weeks that heās terrible and yet you just keep letting him torpedo your season

Gator vs. Texas A&M
Itās in his blood. His in game decision making is some of the worst I think weāve ever seen and he even let it shine last week but texas played so ungodly bad that the gifts he was giving them just werenāt enough.

Gator vs. Texas A&M
I mean Napier has been brain dead all game. They were killing in the passing game early and then just abandoned deep passes for the middle chunk of the game and then the call to go for it on 4th and short in the middle of the field there was just idiotic. A&M hasnāt been doing anything since Moss went out and you just gave them a free scoring opportunity

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
A rebuilding year is completely inexcusable. Weāre in year 5 and have brought in the most talent the program has seen outside of 2000-2002. And considering the access to the transfer portal, thereās no reason why we should ever have a ārebuilding yearā that is below 9 wins. We are staring down the barrel of 5-7. Im sure we find a way and get to 7-5 but considering the expectations of where this team was and the hype around them, that has to call into question the leadership and decision making process at the top level of the team. Anyone justifying the performance and horrid outcome of the season chalking it up to youth and inexperience is missing a much larger point of what was being done to avoid that possibility over the last 5 seasons.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
If we go 7-5 or worse this season, what would need to happen in order for Sark to get canned next year. Bc no matter what happens this year even if they lost every game, heās not going anywhere.

Fire Kyle Flood
Posted this in another thread but Aside from Brandon Baker (who was ranked in the top 40 in his class), the next highest-rated recruit weāve landed on the OL over the last 4 seasons was Jaydon Chatman at 214 looking at On3 composite. I understand OL ranking is not perfect, but the rankings have to be trusted somewhat. Also, as a team weāve ranked as one of the worst in penalties per game the last 3 years and its primarily from the o line. Him and banks need to be fired next week if there isnāt a miraculous overnight improvement (which there wonāt be).

Time For Something Newā¦
I got some heat from my Jeff Banks needs to go thread from earlier in the season saying I was going full TexAgs but doesnāt seem so stupid now. Weāre 5 years in, we know what we need to know about these guys.

Time For Something Newā¦
I thought having the most continuity in the country for a coaching staff was going to be an advantage for this team this season and why I was so high on them, on top of all the talent on the roster, but boy was I wrong. Itās on me for overlooking the obvious: 1. Flood has recruited like shit at O-Line Weāve made excuses for it ad nauseam the last 3 years because of the 22 class. This dude has taken nothing but fat losers and 1 good decent every year. Those chubby chickens are coming home to roost now. Aside from Brandon Baker (who was ranked in the top 40 in his class), the next highest-rated recruit weāve landed on the OL over the last 4 seasons was Jaydon Chatman at 214 looking at On3 composite. I understand OL ranking is not perfect, but the rankings have to be trusted somewhat. All you need to do is look at our 22 class for proof of that with where DJ and Banks were ranked. There is talent we are passing over and itās killing us now. Not to mention, backbreaking, drive-killing penalties. More on that later. 2. Banks has let the special teams unit regress year after year We saw it last year with the FG kicking situation and trotting a punter out there that was lucky to get it 30 yards downfield. I mean, we basically hold our breath every time special teams hits the field now, just hoping they donāt fuck up. A good play for them is pretty much just catching a puntāwhich we canāt even seem to do now since they just let them roll past them for an extra 15 yards every time. I canāt find stats on this, but I can almost guarantee we have more roughing the kicker/running into the kicker penalties in the last 4 years than we do blocked punts. 2021 was an anomaly and we just need to see it as that now. We have blocked fewer punts year over year since 2021. We have consistently had poor field position due to bad decisions on KO and punt returns. Looking at the stats, I think we have 1 return over 30 yards on KO in the last 2 seasons. Weāve got the dude giving out scholarships to long snappers out of high school and his unit is doodooing all over itself like the monkey heās got caged up at his house. 3. Quarterbacks have not been getting better We saw it with Quinn and blamed him. Now it seems to be more like a systemic issue. The longer these guys are here, the worse theyāre getting. Whoās to blameāSark, Milwee, the boogeyman, Russia? I donāt know. 4. Motherfucking penalties These have been here since the beginning. I donāt know why I thought theyād suddenly go away now. As people have stated before, this is a feature of this team, not a bug. It starts with the O-Line, and now it feels like a virus infecting the rest of the team. Since 2021, this team has racked up more penalties per game each season and has never been better than 55th in the country in penalties per game: 2021 ā 55th 2022 ā 66th 2023 ā 98th 2024 ā 87th (but bottom 5 in total penalties) 2025 ā 128th (and will probably be bottom 3 after this week) 5. Red Zone Offense Before today we were 110th in red zone conversions. Last year 101st. 2023, 90th. We knew this issue the last 2 seasons and Iām not convinced itās getting fixed this year either Just like me after I had a few too many at Maggie Maeās in college ā we canāt finish. Itās becoming clear that this is the identity of these units and the team as a whole. Something needs to change or else things will continue to unravel at an uncomfortable speed. We thought we could lean on our defense this season to carry water for a young and volatile offense, but that premise was shattered into a million pieces today by Simple Sunbelt Billy Napier. Now we have to ask ourselves: what does this team do well? On offense, I canāt name one thing right now. Defense will probably bounce back, but this team has no margin for error moving forward now.

Predict the rest of the season
In what world does this team win out lol. Are any of yall watching the games? This team is TERRIBLE. what do they do well? Name something. Itās impossible on the offensive side. We thought we could rely on our defense and we just let a one legged quarterback do whatever he wanted and we let them run down our throats all game. Special teams is and always has been a total joke under Banks so nothings changing there.

Texas vs. Florida- 2:30pm on ESPN
How on earth can any of you come away from that game and not be on the fucking floor with your expectations for this team. That was as bad of an outcome and performance as we could have possibly had considering we just let to a guy whose own fans accurately assessed having a room temp IQ beat us. I mean it was clear as day even in the game with how he was trying to gift us opportunities to get back into it and we couldnāt do it. They werenāt healthy at all and They DOMINATED us on both lines, their receivers dominated us, if they didnāt have Billy at the helm they couldāve hung 40 on us. We will be lucky to win 3 more games this year. This team is BAD. Horrendous. Whatever descriptor you want to assign, they are that. Weāve somehow regressed back to 2021 level. We have no running game. Non existent o line. Terrible QB. We thought we had a world class defense and they got absolutely manhandled. Program is legitimately sliding backwards at light speed.

Auburn at A&M - 2:30 on ESPN
I mean, heās right lol. Their schedule is incredibly easy and they play a bunch of dead man walking teams. Arky has completely quit and Florida will probably be in the same boat. Scar is also a shell of what they were last year. LSU is another paper tiger as we saw from todayās game.

I mean we all know Jackson is taking 2-3 sacks here on this series after going deer in the headlights against a 3-4 man rush
