TM 'Cue Course with Wayne Mueller
A couple of take aways:
1) Never seen anyone take a mallet to a brisket when trimming.
2) The cooked brisket that he sliced looked great.*
3) The Louie Mueller dipping sauce is probably my favorite sauce - I usually make John Mueller's version for beef ribs.
4) That old building is awesome and worth the trip from time to time.
*ETA - I don't remember ever being served brisket that looked that good at LM.
My largest expense when I moved in to a dorm my freshman year was on lumber. We build an extremely sturdy frame that lifted the bed off the floor with enough room to put the desk underneath. I don't know if we had to buy bedding, but I know I didn't make my bed the entire first year.
One caveat has to do with the capacity of the one executing the POA. I have seen at least two situations where someone revoked a POA by executing a new one and followed later by a finding that they were not competent to execute a new POA. The kicker is that a person can have sufficient capacity for revoking a POA, but at the same time not sufficient to make a new one - leaving them without a POA at all.
Spent the morning fishing Salado Creek. Lots of wading in the cool, spring-fed waters. Caught plenty of small largemouth and spotted bass. Only thing worth pulling the camera out for was this beautiful, Northern Cottonmouth.
As he was crossing to my side of the creek when I took the picture, I moved on shortly thereafter.
Also got to meet @Damor and his son at the local brewery afterwards. Nice way to spend a Sunday.
I guess ignorance is bliss - I don't know of any features that I need behind a subscription paywall. I don't even use the free account. Just the app with whatever podcasts I want. I listen to podcasts almost exclusively when driving - probably 4 to 6 hours a week.
When I went to elementary school in VA in the late 70's I have no idea what time we started - get your ass up, eat Captain Crunch, get on the bus, go to school. I do remember the school year going until mid-June - fuck that.
I use Pocket Casts and have for years. I have about 15 podcasts and it shows each time a new episode is dropped. You can toggle on and off auto download for new podcasts.
I cracked up each time they identified those guys as "creek people" under their name when talking.
And why the hell is anyone talking to anyone, even 20-30 years later. STFU
From TM: "The brisket is consistently smoked to perfection and is seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and Lawry's seasoned salt . . . "
Yeah, that brisket does not look good.
