  1. This. much like baylor last year, they have won a lot of close games this year ( by 10 or less) and were straight up lucky in 2-3 wins. Combine that with the fact they don't have a bunch of 4 and 5 star players waiting to step in, dykes system won't be 'new' and defenses will have an entire year to adjust - 6-7 wins is likely their ceiling next year.
  2. fair enough. my thing, he walked into the best program in the big 12 and a down, but the marquee program in the p12 It's not like he rolled in and turned around kansas or colorado. Plus he has won exactly zero playoff games and if usc gets invited, that's not going to change this year, either.
  3. I think it is only possible in the shittiest conference in P5 football, and only at the marquee program.
  4. the p12 sucks and its probably far easier turning around the lone marquee program in that conference, than it is to turn around, say, arizona or colorado.
  5. what is even more incredible is that nfl caliber schedule that usc has gone through. cal, stanford, colorado, rice, fresno st..
  6. I don't see how he keeps his job, except that wvu may not want to buy him out + who is better out there for them to go get?
  7. another reason not to play a round robin
  8. texas tech?
  9. if kansas ends up losing, at least ND is getting rolled and ou is losing too
  10. I agree but with a slightly different reasoning. big name gets the nod over small school if records are the same. If we or ou had finished 11-1 and ohio st was 11-1, big 12 gets invited in 2014 (barring that lone loss was a catastrophe). I think people forget, the big 10 was fucking sorry as hell in 2014. ohio st beat one team that would finish ranked that season and lost to an unranked virginia tech at home. any small schools (p12, b12, acc etc) finish 11-1? they will get told to go fuck themselves which is basically what happened.
  11. The big 12 added a tiebreak rule in 2015, due to the fiasco in 2014. https://www.si.com/college/2015/05/07/big-12-tiebreaker-rules-one-true-champion The big 12 did not add a CCG until 2017
  12. Are you on the rag again? Take this
  13. absolutely. ten team round robin is tough enough, no ccg needed. but, money rules..
  14. Nope. The Big 12 didn't have a tiebreak rule - so tcu and baylor had the same record and were "co champs" even though tcu lost to baylor. The Big 12 fixed that stupid shit by the next season.
  15. Colorado is an embarrassment to football. They should get demoted to the MWC
  16. I wonder how many of their fans know that both their DC and S&C are Briles guys.
  17. is fucjing a city in china?
  18. I figured snow was busy with Dancing with the Stars
  19. Yeah, actually. 2021. Haven't seen one this year in Stillwater, though.
  20. can't say I'm surprised. ok lite lost a lot of their core defense from last year, including their DC
  21. The hire only matters if his DC snow goes with him
  22. their dl is tired. been on the field a lot because their offense sucks
