I loved PK, but this is a fair complaint for someone at his pay grade. Sark should approve hires, but the 2 million dollar DC should have a long list of guys that he can coordinate the coverages with.
This seems to be an obvious change in style to me. Former head coach at multiple stops that Sark can trust to take care of more than just coaching the defense. It's like when we brought Patterson in but Will is actually committing to the title.
Someone having multiple good options and exploring them doesn't need a cynical slant of agent deception. The coach was fired at Florida. This doesn't feel like a made up story.
If I have to do anything, we’re screwed.
I get your point, I just think this is the new reality. I only follow Texas but I assume a lot of schools deal with this every year.
I feel like your first sentence rejects the premise of your remaining post.
I know the grocery store exists but the fact that there’s nothing in the fridge for dinner tonight definitely increases our chances of dying of starvation.
Yeah, but as many of us have learned in life, Jaden Baugh has a say as well. So is he invested in Sumrall's rebuild? Or does he want a one year showcase?
Our line will be better next year because we'll get better players out of the portal. I'm pretty annoyed with the shit show that Flood rolled out this season, so I'd be fine with him gone, but a lot can be fixed with better personnel and scheme tweaks.
Frank Wilson would be a good hire because I've heard of him. Gerry Hamilton likes him and Gerry's never wrong and definitely not biased towards recruiters. Does he have any fresh ideas? I have no idea. But he is a NAME that we've HEARD before.
I won't stand for these ad hominem attacks.
See, I actually thought the joke had clever phrasing. It makes the reader lean in a little bit and do a little work. The implication is that this year's Vandy team is better than any Gundy ever had. An outlandish overstatement for effect. I thought it worked. The Big 12 PR Police are too busy taking everything said on here at face value that you can't even see a grumpy old troll standing under a bridge and wasting your time. But that's the problem with being thirsty for approval.
You implied the disparity in team quality hasn't seismically shifted in the past few years. Vandy finished 7th and is the best Oklahoma State team that Gundy never had. They would have cleaned up in the Big 12 this year.
Tech and TCU could combine rosters and Texas would still be favored by a touchdown on the road. This isn't the pros. Parity is only in your imagination.
