Netflix only bought the distribution rights to the Mitchells vs the Machines. I think the fact that it was so good is more attributable to producers Lord & Miller (Into the Spiderverse, Lego Movie, Lego Batman)
90% of what my daughter listens to is K-pop and she finally played me a song that I liked.
(There have been other good songs that I've heard. But has anybody noticed that Blackpink the most popular girl K-Pop group has zero good songs)
The drummer from sleep token. He's not the greatest but I do enjoy his playing. I posted this guy on the other drum thread too.
He won Drumeo's award for drummer of the year and metal drummer of the Year. I don't know if those are legit awards.
For some reason the band insists on staying anonymous, so he's taken down all his his YouTube videos from before he put on the mask but those videos had a lot of jazz and hip hop.
Anyway, here he is with his former band from 8 years ago.
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing this movie Abigail.
I hate the fact that the trailers and even the movie poster gives the plot away. The reviewers have said if you didn't know going into it, you would be wondering up until halfway through the movie what the hell's going on. Now granted, the twist is pretty obvious, but it would still be fun to figure out.
It's getting pretty good reviews.
So if you like horror movies and you don't know a thing about Abigail, I suggest you don't look up the trailer or anything about it and just go see it.
Greatest Hits
Really well done movie. It's refreshing to see a movie that isn't made for morons. I've been watching so many Netflix/Prime movies where everything needs to be spelled out with exhaustive expositional dialogue. Hell even theatrical releases to this.
This movie just lets things unfold and lets you figure out what's going on. I'm probably overrating it for this reason. But it was an enjoyable movie.
Lucy Boynton can act and is easy on the eyes too.
I have, thanks. I've also been listening to her podcast. She seems to be the only channel on YouTube teaching this language, unlike other languages that have countless channels.
I have no choice.
But I'm stoked because I just found out that there are luxembourgish dubs of The Simpsons out there somewhere. Now if I could only get access to some of those episodes.
Within the next couple of years, I need to get to a conversational fluency in luxembourgish. Why? It's a long, uninteresting story but it's a necessity.
But I have to devote time and resources to learning a language that is so infrequently used that even people in Luxembourg don't use it.
As of right now there is a grand total of one show on Netflix that uses luxembourgish.
Anyone But You
Sydney Sweeney cannot act. She says her lines like she doesn't understand half the words.
And it's the most unfunny romantic "comedy" I've ever seen. Human beings don't act this way. For example, there's a scene where there's a fire and someone takes off her dress and uses it to put it out. Seriously, WTF? And is that supposed to be funny?
However, Syd's tits are fantastic. 10 out of 10. Best movie of the year.
