Liberals and conservatives killing each other, taking cancel culture to the next level. What's not to like?
It was dumb. It was fun. I wasn't bored.
Nice job acting by the lead, who you couldn't help root for.
Rewatched Dark City last night.
For a movie made in the 90s, it still looks and feels modern except for the dated 90s sound design. A few of the effects looked dated but nothing too bad. Still a great movie and peak Jennifer Connelly was pure smoke.
It took the Wuhan virus to get me to eventually watch Bandersnatch. It was engaging because I had to pay attention but not really that interesting.
I still haven't gotten to the endings where he dismembers dad, kills Kitty, or the grown up Pearl ending.
Wasn't there a show like this years and years ago, with some professional tennis player? He was in his thirties and the women were either in their 20s or in their 40s and 50s.
I think it was called "Age of Love." He chose a young one btw.
Horror movie from Leigh Whannell, the guy who made the excellent Upgrade. It was made for pocket change, a reported $7 million, but really how much budget do you need in order to film empty space.
It's getting great reviews across the board and imo Moss is good in pretty much all her roles. We'll probably go see it this weekend if I can convince the wife. She scares easily. I mean, she could barely make it through Happy Death Day and that was a comedy.
I was wrong and I'm happy about the outcome. I hope Wilder comes back cause I like him too. I was kind of shocked how bad Wilder's defense and footwork were. He was crossing his feet while backpedaling and off-balance so many times.
I was also shocked at how prominently McGregor's whiskey was advertised in the ring.
I think brilliant part with the shoes is the way Waititi esablished the shoes, calling attention to them in clever, non-obvious ways leading up to that scene.
Can you look like you're homeless? Can you run all night up and down hills without looking tired? Want to make 124 bucks doing so? Come and be an extra!

Yeah, f that.
I'm all for different formats.
I love the traditional widescreen format, and IMAX is yet another format. Bring em all on - vertical, multiple screens, maybe a feature length movie using the Guardians of the Galaxy/Tower of Terror moving seats ride. Or maybe a feature length VR movie where you walk around and explore. Although the audience would probably be bumping into each other, and me personally I'd be puking my guts from the motion sickness.
I bet you were relieved when they played the rousing, triumphant music and they showed Chewie still alive, all dejected, in custody, and in handcuffs. That was a weird scene. Maybe they should have shown Chewie all defiant, throwing off some storm troopers instead of looking all hangdog.
