  1. I haven’t heard one 995’er express anymore confidence today than they had for the previous few days. Still seems like most everyone is saying ‘who knows’. Except Lucci - because he has sources in every athletic department. Apparently.
  2. Demond Williams had a real agent and decided the street agent knew better. Can’t fix stupid.
  3. I think CTJ said that one was done before the portal paperwork was submitted.
  4. Should be noted that Bobby pushed back pretty hard against the idea that Sark was looking to build an ‘NFL’ roster in construction/size.
  5. I’m old, have high blood pressure, and a bad back - I’m not built for portal watchin’
  6. Does this end up like NFL free agency where the smart GMs wait out the first wave and find bargains in what is left over? But the NFL only has 32 teams and has a salary cap - how does that work with 136 teams?
  7. Well. Ok. This is cool. This is great.
  8. I’m curious what the donors who contributed to get these guys on campus out of high school feel about watching them all just walk away. It’s wild.
  9. Apparently Washington QB Demond Williams is attempting to enter the portal against the advice of his agency, who just dropped him. *same agency also represents Washington HC Jedd Fisch
  10. RS Freshman last season, I would have assumed they were looking for a little more ‘experience’.
  11. Bio says he wants to be a cattle rancher - this one we might have a chance with…
  12. This had been posted over and over again - but every team is dealing with this. Ohio St just had two 5 star WRs enter the portal. Also, the WR coach isn’t making the decision on which WRs we go after.
  13. If Arch or Simmons or Goosby went in the portal you bet your ass Sark would take them back. That rule isn’t for everybody and every situation.
  14. We have a couple of those guys and Brown out of the backfield is going to be a huge weapon in that regard as well. I think getting Arch a big receiver who can be physical on the outside and win 50/50 balls should be a priority. I mean, I’m not turning down a Tre Richardson type, but they also need a big receiver with some experience.
  15. Also, there are going to be players who don’t get signed during Spring semester and are at home working out in their driveway. Consider it colleges version of the waiver wire where you pick up guys to fill out the roster when spring practice injuries happen.
  16. Part of the problem appears to be that other teams garbage looks more appealing than your own garbage - so players that would normally be depth are getting NIL offers at other schools in excess of what Texas or anyone would want to pay for a backup or depth piece. This isn’t new or unusual - NFL fans have watched it happen on their teams forever. The problem is that in college football, with long term contracts non-existent, roster turnover is extreme. So Texas, and others, are left trying to hold on to and replace starters while the rest of the roster walks. What I’m saying is, muledick.
  17. This is much needed pleasant news.
  18. Just watched Bobby, in real time, realize that Sark/Harris have spent the beginning of portal season chasing a bunch of kids from the NE with no connections to Texas, SEC, or any of the coaches.
  19. Which shows just how ridiculously fucking awful the portal ‘ratings’ are for players. Conner Stroh wasn’t the 13th best IOL on Texas, let alone in the god damn portal. *Everyone’s favorite, and future NFL superstar. Trent Farley is ranked 28th amongst IOL by 247. 15 spots behind human speed bump Conner fucking Stroh.
  20. Just a lot of heavy breathing.
  21. Props to Texas for offering enough NIL to make 5 different players think about leaving their current teams, but not enough to actually convince them to do it. That’s a tight rope I’m not sure Charles Blondin could walk.
  22. Found Bobby’s source.
