  1. It will be interesting - he’s a 5’8” wr that runs an 11 second 100m.
  2. This is funny, we’ve got 10 pages of people wailing about Bobby’s quote that Texas generally doesn’t recruit the lower levels for the portal. And when they did bring a guy in it turns out he was appreciably smaller than his measurements. Interestingly enough - the UTSA DL that visited wasn’t offered because he measured in smaller as well (per Bobby). Is Flood in charge of both lines now?
  3. We should totally ignore size. Don’t worry about that OL with 30” arms that wxcelled in the Mountain West, I’m sure he’ll have no problem against SEC defensive lineman. Has he committed anywhere else yet?
  4. Yes - it’s being whined about at every position we’ve lost a player at. WR, LB, RB all have people losing their fucking mind. The portal has been open less than a week and other than at QB there is no position that has ‘closed shop’ and even QB, as the Washington QB showed, isn’t done yet And I don’t care how sure they were they had 3 IOL ‘lined up’ I don’t believe they were just sitting by the phone waiting for them to commit.
  5. There’s one starting spot available. Parker wasn’t starting - it’s why he didn’t get the offer he wanted. I assume either Coleman (WR1) or Richardson (WR2/3) will be pursued/signed. I’d love both, but I’m guessing they won’t commit that much to the position given what they’re paying Wingo and to a lesser extent Mosley.
  6. Fast as hell - he’s a 10.3 guy.
  7. Good players still entering the portal…. Reminder the portal is open for most teams until the 16th.
  8. I was under the impression Texas had no backup plans and the portal was closed.
  9. What is ‘shortly’? If your backup is a guy not in the portal yet because he’s waiting to hear if the Texas money is available how quickly is that going to happen?
  10. Because it’s easier to retain than it is to pull someone away. Especially from places with very motivated boosters. It’s a mistake if Texas misses/missed out on alternatives while they were pursuing Baugh/Brown/Woods. Livingstone wasn’t a building block. Muschamp apparently thought less of Barnes than you.
  11. Take it for what it’s worth but Bobby said that Texas is absolutely talking to back up options in and out of the portal there will be visits if Sprague or others don’t end up at Texas.
  12. Oh for fucks sake. There are obviously exceptions to the ‘lower-level’ portal rule - as evidenced by taking Trey Moore.
  13. Open your eyes. Ohio State just had their two top WRs from the 2025 class enter the portal. It looks like every freshman who didn’t produce year 2 is looking to get paid more somewhere else.
  14. By this point I assume Muschamp has watched every snap Barnes played in game and on the practice field. If a decision was made about Barnes - I assume Muschamp made it. This is a new defense and I don’t know Barnes fit in it.
  15. The football board must be empty right now.
  16. That was 2024. He played in all 12 games in 2025 as far as I am aware.
  17. Bobby/Gerry mentioned yesterday that generally Texas isn’t looking for Portal guys from lower levels because they want guys ready to step in and play right away (why they also avoid players who have been injured). Trey Moore was an exception but a good example of a player that took more than half a season to adjust to the new level of competition.
  18. More info from Bobby on Brunner: Bobby believes Brunner has a visit scheduled and he believes Texas has a bigger NIL offer for him than Indiana - but as saty pointed out earlier, Brunner old position coach is now at Indiana.
  19. We had one year of ‘under performance’ it just happened to be this season. Texas just had 3 OL drafted and 4 of their 5 starting OL on NFL rosters. That’s what kids are going to see.
  20. These are the players who have visited or are currently visiting that Texas is waiting on decisions from.
  21. Bobby said on this mornings Coffee & Football that he had a source tell him ‘don’t be surprised if Texas is done with OL (in the portal) by Friday’. Also mentioned Brunner visiting this week again.
  22. Per Bobby/Gerry - the Cal LB Cade Uluave will be visiting Texas later this week. Bobby also mentioned the possibility of Wisconsin OG Joe Brunner visiting this week.
  23. Per Gerry: Donta Simpson DT Miami Zion Williams DT LSU Raleek Brown RB Arizona St visiting today.
