20 years ago I'd probably agree with you - but now so many players choose to opt out that you end up with Mitch Trubisky as a pro-bowl QB. It sort of loses its meaning at that point, doesn't it?
Uh, no. Sydney was talking about the poster he quoted thinking Jones should move to Guard. We all knew Jones was coming back - that was the point of Sydney’s mocking.
Nahlin (IT) says Gary Bryant Jr is a name in the portal to keep an eye on for WR - though he doesn't graduate from USC until May. Had a good 2021 catching 44 balls for 579 yards and 7tds. 3 games into 2022 it was clear Lincoln didn't have a place for him in his offense and Bryant decided to RS to preserve a season of eligibility.

I think the most important question is 'can he coach?'. If he can, then whether its RB, WR, or TE I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference. Obviously there are nuances to each position - but most of these coaches have come up through the ranks coaching different positions - and most players nowadays have personal trainers/coaches. I'm not too worried about whether or not he's coached at a certain position for 'x' number of years.
Bobby (IT) reporting that talk behind the scenes is that Patterson is leaving. Time away from home has been a factor. Bobby not ready to 'call it' but he would not be surprised to see Patterson leave.

Is this Gary's position - or a new one?
Georgia just recruited two very highly rated guys from the portal and have their leading WR McConkey coming back. Given the TE usage in that offense - AD Mitchell is more than likely the odd man out next season.
