Steakhouses - Keens on W. 36th or Sparks on E. 46th for Manhattan, Peter Luger’s in Williamsburg. You may have hit all of them before. Also in Williamsburg, Bamonte’s is a true old school Italian restaurant that has been there 100+ years, and had several Sopranos episodes filmed there. Salt Hank’s on Bleecker St. apparently makes the best French Dip sandwich anywhere because it costs $30 and it’s all they make there. I always like to hit SugarFish once when I’m in NYC and LA as well. I’m going to be up there in March as well, visiting daughters living in the city, will let you know if we figure something out interesting entertainment-wise.
I’ve watched both seasons of Lioness, so no. I think because I have more familiarity with legal proceedings than say, special forces operations or the O&G business, it stood out like a sore thumb.
Once again, like the deposition scene in the first season, the scene where the lawyer chick (who is not a criminal defense attorney) basically does her entire trial presentation in the interrogation room and everyone just looks at their shoes in shame is perhaps the most unrealistic portrayal of the legal profession ever put on film.
Interesting podcast from the Joirnal about the high school black market for football players. It is centered around tOSU WR recruit Phillip Bell, but as they say at the end, there are a thousand Phillip Bell’s out there. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-journal/id1469394914?i=1000745485679
Not do what? I’m not saying it’s decisive for any player, but people do weigh economic factors and Terry actually said this at the time. I’m not trying to turn this into a CR discussion.
