  1. As others have pointed out, an interesting dynamic going into this one as it is the first game all season that we’ve been a betting line underdog going in. Were we a favorite against Washington last year in the CFP? If so, the Alabama game in September of 2023 might be the last time we were an underdog. Hoping we will respond to the challenge the way we did that night, particularly the offense, where Quinn actually hit a couple of deep balls, and we ran the ball down their throats to end the game. When our running game is clicking, our whole offense is so much more consistent and supports our defense. That HAS to happen for us to have a shot in this game. That having been said, the only defense we’ve seen comparable to this one is UGA’s and they shut our running game down, so I’m not real optimistic about this one. Jim Knowles plays the three-high look that has given Sark fits over the years, with a great DL and safeties. They also have the best passing attack we have seen by far this year, so unless they try to be stupid and prove their manhood by running at us over and over, they are going to score some points. I think they probably learned their lessons against Michigan that that approach isn’t their strength. Maybe it will help our offense to know that they can’t depend on the defense to bail them out over and over.
  2. Yormark is still a little bitch:
  3. This is where I am. It was a shit throw and if our DB’s had played even D+ defense they intercept it or knock it down, and we put the game away without another peep from Skattebo. Credit him for what he did after that point, but it all should have never happened.
  4. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like Quinn threw for 74% of his total yards on the first drive + last 5 minutes + OT. 77 on the first drive and 161 at the end. That’s nuts.
  5. Question: Are we better off going forward winning the way we did (where Quinn makes 3 clutch throws for scores in OT) rather than if Auburn had hit the game winner in regulation?
  6. There’s a good chance we win the “Most Entertaining Playoff Game” award for the postseason. Hang the banner!
  7. Damn, our defense was out there for 97 plays. Glad we have a couple extra days.
  8. Time to switch over to the Twilight Zone marathon on SyFy
  9. This game was the platonic ideal of a Quinn Ewers game. Absolutely dazzling at the beginning and end with a bunch of lackadaisical throws and head-scratching decisions in between. It’s what makes him so frustrating because you can see the talent is there.
  10. Defense is done. Should have gone for 2 in the first OT
  11. Jeez, who didn’t see a QB draw coming there?
  12. I don’t want to watch anymore football
  13. I am having a hard time thinking of a worse loss than this one is going to be
  14. Like a spin around pass to the RB in the flat?
  15. It’s felt like one since the second quarter
  16. And the defense has to go right back on the field now
