  1. My 6 yr. Old daughter has recently started taking lessons for hunter jumper and the place she’s riding at has offered us a lease on a horse for around 2K per month. Any thoughts or advice on this? This is my wife’s thing as she rode as a kid and the closest I’ve ever been to a horse was betting them at Manor Downs.
  2. Thank you! I stopped by there last Friday, but they were closed for the holiday. After that I stopped in McBride’s but she wasn’t wanting to buy in the volume I have (something about end of year taxes?) and told me to come back in January. I’ll go back to Capital this week and see what they think.
  3. I have a bunch of these I need to sell in Austin. Any recommendations and what should I expect? Spot price of silver?
  4. 2.5” just outside of Dripping Springs. Nice start to the year!
  5. I was headed west bound on Ben White around 7PM and cops were flying by me like crazy, passing cars on the shoulder. This started around the S Congress exit and it looked like they were in pursuit of a sports car of some sort. The chase continued onto MoPac and I lost them. Curious if this was related
  6. You might try Furniture Medic in Austin. Check the group run by Brian Dragstrom, he does good work.
  7. Musa Abu Marzouk. Hamas' second most important leader, in charge of international relations. Has lived for 14 years in the US. His fortune is estimated at $2 billion dollars.“ So this guy is just living it up in the States and the US can’t FIND a reason to lock his ass up? WTF

That was a weird press conference. They were all slapping each others backs like they have the fire put out already.

Standing in line at the post office to renew my 6 year old daughters passport “Dad what would happen if you mailed plutonium?” That definitely garnered some strange looks..
  15. We just renewed my daughters passport, but even with expedited service we’re looking at 7-9 weeks which puts us pretty close to our intended travel date. Is it possible to use one of these services if you’ve already renewed? Also, does anyone have someone they’ve used in the Austin area?
  16. Where is this their space at?
  17. I’m digging this weather chick from KVUE (Grace Thornton)
  18. Fuck those racer idiots, that’s a situation where I’d be good with cops beating the shit out of them. As an aside, hat tip to whoever finally found the stones to clean up the homeless city by Central Makret south. Now keep it that way!

  20. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/georgia-bulldogs-quarterback-stetson-bennett-arrested-on-public-intoxication-charge-in-dallas-police-say/287-4f0caf3c-6d7d-4c46-a1fc-535aac7638a8 DALLAS — Stetson Bennett, the Georgia quarterback who just led the Bulldogs to a second straight national championship, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication early Sunday morning in Dallas, police confirmed to WFAA. The arrest happened around 6 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Tribeca Way in Old East Dallas, according to police. Officers responded to reports of a man banging on doors in the area, police said. When the officers arrived, they found Bennett "and determined he was intoxicated," a police news release said. The release did not say if Bennett was the man reportedly banging on doors, and it did not say where, specifically, they located him. Bennett, 25, was arrested and taken to a city detention center. It was unclear when he was being released Sunday. More information about his arrest was not released.
  21. Which is exactly what he should be saying. Why give the cops the recordings without having Minton listen to them first?
  22. https://kdhnews.com/business/all-aboard-tesla-busing-killeen-area-workers-to-austin-factory-daily/article_7591d184-7732-11ed-9603-c75c954fd5a3.html Electric vehicle maker Tesla is hiring Killeen-area residents for its giant gigafactory in Austin. One of the perks happens to be a ride to and from work in an air-conditioned — or heated, as the case may be — motor coach. At least four charter buses — all marked with a sign indicating it was a shuttle service for Tesla — were parked at a local Killeen hotel this week. There are four 50-passenger buses which make the 150-mile round-trip to Tesla Giga Texas twice a day from the Killeen-Harker Heights area, according to one of the bus drivers. The buses are owned by San Antonio-based Star Shuttle and Charter.
