  1. I don't really understand this decision either, and hopefully someone with access to the decision-makers will pry out the rationale. You would think that, in an era with nine conference games, the ideal non-conference schedule would be playing two Division I cupcakes (hello Rice and UTEP) and then having a third "respectable" game against a historically mediocre team from a major conference, like a Minnesota, or a Rutgers, or a North Carolina. Arizona State slots into that category of non-conference games against a foe that is at least moderately respectable, but also a team that Texas throttles when it is any good. Arizona State also makes sense because of relative proximity, and we have historically recruited from the state before. So yeah, this is a head scratcher.
  2. In answer to your question, that discussion has mostly been unfolding in this thread. The general consensus is that the Big 10 is doing this at the bidding of FOX, and that the idea of putting so many teams in the playoffs is ludicrous and would make a mockery of the regular season. In short, fuck the Big 10.

  5. Good day on the recruiting board ...
  6. Short men talking about fucking tall women is peak surly.
  7. "Elijah Ali is a 6-3, 260-pound Defensive Line from Santa Monica, CA." Dude is a one-man defensive line. Seems like a hell of a potential pickup.
  8. First of all, I'm genuinely surprised Sanders came back to Colorado after his kids left. Not to mention his health issues. Perhaps he needs the check. Perhaps he enjoys it. Perhaps he wants to prove the 'haters' wrong and win without Travis Hunter. With that said, his team was fucking terrible last year: 3-9, and by at least this rating metric, ranked two spots behind Ohio. Not The Ohio State University. The Ohio University Bobcats, which lost to Western Michigan and Ball State University, among others. But Simkins Man, Deion is a superstar with a magnetic personality. The kids will flock to him! OK, but Colorado ranked 62nd in the 2026 recruiting rankings according to 247, in 13th position out of 16 Big XII teams. Yeah, but Deion basically invented remaking your roster via the portal! Sure, but according to the On3 portal rankings (I know, I know) they're 28th in terms of overall additions and subtractions this offseason. Their best portal acquisition, by the way, was DeAndre Moore Jr. Who we were kind of happy to see go. Colorado is lucky they play in the Big XII, because even with that schedule for 2026 they're more than likely going 3-9 again unless Julian Lewis the second coming.
  9. I can't believe they use it unironically. I thought we started it here to mock him?

  13. They're too busy convincing themselves that Horton was the superior portal pickup.
  14. Newman played seven snaps this year in garbage time. He can play guard or tackle. Probably bread, but at this point the pantry could do with some re-stocking.
  15. Holy shit, that's legendary @Huckleberry !
