  1. Elon has abandoned, what, a dozen of his children? And became staunchly anti-trans because his daughter Vivian Wilson transitioned and she fucking hates him? Nothing matters anymore. You can say whatever you want.
  2. JFC. Maybe this 41 year old dude can't process it because he stopped using his fucking brain. My 8 year old and I have continuing discussions about AI. Appreciation and preference for human brilliance, connection, creativity, and artistry is something we talk about all the time. IMO it's practically abuse to just give in to AI bullshit as a parent.
  3. It needs to be reiterated the the "richest" man in the world is just a simple idiot. And someone please define "American culture" for me, if they believe such a thing exists.
  4. Someone has to step in and remove this ghoul. Listen to this shit.
  5. Apparently not. But Trump's tone today was very different compared to just yesterday. He went from "I want to make a deal and it might take another month" after meeting with Netanyahu yesterday to "regime change seems to be the best option" today. Saying stuff like "legs blown off, arms blown off, faces blown off" re: Iranian atrocities, feels like new info was presented to him to push an attack.
  6. Think it's actually happening this time....
  7. Already happening. Yesterday, Altman announced they were eliminating older ChatGPT versions at some point today. And a bunch of people who formed deep attachments through 4o completely freaked out. The fact that it ends right before Valentine's Day is crushing them.
  8. They know they are watching real people on screen. People won't be interested in AI creations or versions of actors.
  9. How long has this "Hollywood is cooked" narrative been around now? 3 years? Longer? Even though the realism has significantly improved, there's a reason why these videos are always 30 second clips and action packed. They cannot make an actual good full length movie with AI. Because once the quick dopamine hit dissipates, you'd notice all the major flaws of AI in a feature length film. The lifeless dialogue and dramatic moments that won't resonate because you know they're not real people. Like AI music, these things are just lame party tricks. You're entertained/wowed for a moment, and then you completely forget about them.
  10. I fully believe people should already be thinking about business ideas that are specifically anti-AI and focus on human interaction and strategies. Everyone has already been racing towards AI for years and invested a fuckton of capital. Trying to jump on this train now is a fool's errand. If we just blindly use AI for everything, then the products will be lifeless, homogeneous, and eventually not desired. Nothing will stand out. It won't take long. Your human instincts will sense something is off. And because society would be incredibly fucked (mental health issues, brain rot, job insecurity, etc.), the survival instinct will reject this AI movement. The reality is AI execs are still in the faking it until they make it phase. They are promising something. But they don't have it yet. Either they fail, or they succeed and things go to shit. Again, there is no happy ending with AI use outside of it being an additional tool for the average person. Any more than that and we're fucked. That's why we need the bubble to pop ASAP, instead of everything falling apart for people to wake up.
  11. The MAGA era just allows stupid people to shamelessly say stupid stuff. Listen to this piece of shit.
  12. CNN interviewed the guy who created this viral article. Absolutely no substance to his argument, he basically admits it at the end of this clip. What a joke. https://x.com/CantEverDie/status/2022192681154490797
  13. Anthropic raised $30 billion in their latest series funding. It was announced today. 20 mil is couch money. There's zero reason to trust any of these AI companies. Probably just trying to gain favor with Democratic leaders with their assumption Rs get crushed in midterms.
  14. I admit that my firm rejection of large scale AI dependence is mainly due to the belief society will crumble otherwise. As a tool, AI is here to stay. It needs to be regulated IMO. Let’s look at the cycles of tech so far. Getting online was a massive game changer and job wise was amd still is a good thing. But the open internet as we knew it is pretty much dead. Websites, blogs, individual created webpages are basically gone, we are now focused on apps. Social media originally was great. Early Facebook was a plus, and connected everyone to each other. FB went to shit, then Instagram was the next best option. Zuck buys IG and now that app is dogshit. Twitter was originally a great entertainment/newsfeed for 7-8 years, then was completely destroyed after Elon took over. Social media originally connected all of us, which was the appeal, but it only took a decade to disconnect society into their own bubbles and separate viewpoints. iPhones are awesome but can’t get much better at this point and Apple is pissed that people aren’t upgrading as frequently Tech has been a massive movement, but the productive life cycles of these big innovations have been relatively short. We need to bring human connection, community, and reality back into the future.
  15. Netanyahu leaves DC empty handed, Trump still wants a deal.
  16. Again, these micro level cases are great. If you job isn't in danger at all and it benefits your work, then fantastic. But those examples don't validate the amount of money being raised or spent. Those examples are not the selling points from the AI CEOs who wield power and control. They want to take your jobs away, or at least make the threat, so they can gobble up more money and eventually force the government to be their backstop. There is no happy ending where AI tech lords can meet their stated goals/threats and we still have a functioning and healthy society. They cannot co-exist. UBI isn't gonna be implemented in this fake utopia, but even if it did society would still be fucked. Therefore, we need this big idea of AI taking over to fail spectacularly. As a society we should be highly critical and wary, don't give up everything because a fucking technocrat or billionaire convinced you. This is strictly a cash and power grab. Don't simp for these amoral ghouls.
  17. I always remember this tweet from Sam Altman a few years ago. I think it sums up how fucking stupid these people are and the complete lack of critical thinking. The Social Network being considered an inspiration for these tech dumbfucks is a very real phenomenon. They have zero media literacy or social awareness.
  18. Oh look, another stupid tech asshole talking their book in an interview. I look forward to these people eventually being exiled from society, and will party my ass off when this AI bubble pops.
  19. Outside of the fact that ChatGPT can't correctly answer this stupid prompt, the full text of the reply just makes me ragey. We cannot allow this type of drivel to infiltrate our own minds and words..
