I think he has been ill for a while, MS maybe, something debilitating like that. Could be wrong, but I think I remember Dale and some of the other DJ’s mentioning it before.

Roger just dropped his new stripped-down version of Comfortably Numb. Personally I like it, I thought it worked great as a show opener. It's a curiosity more than anything, but a good re-imagining I think. Before lockdown I had been working on a demo of a new version of ‘Comfortably Numb’ as an opener to our new show "This Is Not A Drill”. I pitched it a whole step down, in A Minor, to make it darker and arranged it with no solos, except over the outro, where there is a heartrendingly beautiful vocal solo from one of our new sisters Shanay Johnson. It’s intended as a wakeup call, and a bridge towards a kinder future with more talking to strangers, either in "The Bar” or just “Passing in the Street" and less slaughter “In Some Foreign Field.” Here it is. Love R. The video is by Sean Evans. The mix is by Gus Seyffert. Credits: Produced by Roger Waters and Gus Seyffert Roger Waters – Vocals Gus Seyffert – Bass, Synth, Percussion, Vocals Joey Waronker – Drums Dave Kilminster – Vocals Jonathan Wilson – Harmonium, Synth, Guitar and Vocals Jon Carin – Synth, Vocals Shanay Johnson – Vocals Amanda Belair – Vocals Robert Walter – Organ/Piano Nigel Godrich – Strings, amp and backing vocals from Roger Waters ‘The Wall’ Sessions.

Karen, come pick up your boy... and move over Normie, the doghouse is about to get crowded.- The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
I can't tell that they changed anything. The mono and stereo albums have always had lots of differences (the backwards guitars in Sleeping, longer fade outs in I Want to Tell You, Got to Get You, Tomorrow Never Knows, different tape loop sequences and volumes in TNK, etc) but I think they remained true to the versions, the same differences then are the same differences now- The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
Yes, I have the 2014 Mono Box. I did just a quick spot check on headphones, the 2022 sounds a little crisper, maybe the bass is a little fuller. There is definitely more punch to the bass and drums in both the stereo and mono new versions.- The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)
I am still absorbing it, haven't even gotten to the outtakes yet. Just the remix and the mono. The remix will blow your mind, I'm hearing so many things I never heard before, She Said She Said and For No One in particular. And everything just sparkles now, the bass and drums sound incredible.- The Beatles - Get Back (by Peter Jackson)

This looks pretty cool as well.. "Just given an airing at the Rodeo Screening Room in Los Angeles, California, on August 24th as part of the Telluride Film Festival, is a new documentary from celebrated photographer, creative director and filmmaker Anton Corbijn. Squaring The Circle: The Story Of Hipgnosis, which is 101 minutes long, tells the story of Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey 'Po' Powell, the creative geniuses behind the iconic album art design studio, Hipgnosis, responsible for some of the most recognisable album covers of all time. They formed Hipgnosis in Cambridge during the ferment of the sixties and became rock royalty during the boom time of the seventies. They conjured into existence sights that no one had previously thought possible, produced visuals which popularised music that had previously been considered fringe, and were at the white-hot centre of the maddest, funniest and most creative era in the history of popular music. During this period, record companies didn’t dictate to acts like Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Paul McCartney what their LP covers should look like - Storm and Po did. They made money; they lost money. They did great things; they did silly things. They fell out bitterly; they made up. They never played a note, but they changed music. The film features brand new interviews with Roger Waters, David Gilmour & Nick Mason of Pink Floyd, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, Graham Gouldman of 10cc, Noel Gallagher, and many more. As yet we don't have details of any upcoming screenings, or streaming possibilities, although we suspect such information will be available soon. In the meantime, here's a quick look at part of the documentary, with Storm, Po, David, Roger and Nick all talking about the cover to Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother:"- United States Ambassador Herschel Walker
