  1. Start the retreat here and don't stop retreating until you're neck deep in the Pacific. I refer, of course, to the Christian Church of Jesus the Cruel. "Let suffer the children."
  2. I have no idea what this has to do with my simple belief that soldiers deserve, from us, care related to what they suffered in combat or other trauma. They're fools to vote for Trump. I'm sure some are people that I would despise. That doesn't cancel debt. How can this be controversial?
  3. The below seems pretty simple to me.
  4. I had a friend whose father bombed the German town he was born in. He was the bombardier, so he actually aimed the bombs. No regrets. Good that we had some Germans on our side, too. Same for the Japanese.
  5. They're owed efforts to acclimate them to returning home after combat service. Again, I'm surprised that you seem to not distinguish those exposed to combat from those not so. I owe them as a citizen to provide care for the traumatized among them. My debt is to be paid through taxes.
  6. They don't pick where they fight or why. It's not their fault their sacrifice is wasted by bad policy. I think most of them join because they're sold on the idea that they are indeed protecting our freedom or avenging attacks on this country. They face long-term consequences of combat exposure. They also volunteered which means we don't need conscription. I'm surprised there's an argument about this.
  7. I don't care who a combat veteran votes for. I owe that person.
  8. My only mild concern for the next season is that the creative team will get bogged down explaining the origins of the new world and the great players in that world. We don't want to turn a smart, fun series into The Phantom Menace. They did enough with the short scene prior to the bombs changing the world where they say that each vault can choose (or have chosen) whatever culture they want. The discovery of one vault shows failed communism, but, cleverly and unsurprisingly, the Roman model thrives. I'm happy in the world at this level with the Iron Brotherhood (or whatever they're called) going the way that it appears to be going.
  9. Daily Vomit Inducing Dotard News The US Institute of Peace From an article about all the European leaders not accepting invite to the Board of Peace, the Guardian
  10. I'm with you on this one. Malingerers take money that could go to those truly in need. I'm also with you on suspicions about Secretary Push-up. I think maybe the last line is too hopeful. I could see these degenerate crooks redefining PTSD, having everybody re-diagnosed, and dumping damaged veterans on the street. Why would they do this? Why not? Oligarchs don't like paying anything for anyone. They'll sneer at the losers who joined the Army and returned damaged. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps like the rest of us.
  11. I'm referring to the time it was a possession of Epstein's. I believe he owned it at the time of arrest. I fully agree about smelliness of an oligarch buying the place.

The shamelessness of these people haunts me. It's absolute with these people, and they head a fucking substantial movement. In the ranks, it seems to be resentment and fear and stupidity. In the leadership...what? They can't all be mini-Trumps who never gave a shit about anyone or doing a single kind thing. Is this one a Jesus-defying Christian believing the means justify the ends because of some perverse belief that this is God's will? How do people like her or Bondi or Rubio sleep at night?
  13. One would think an interstate if not international sex trafficking ring of minors would have attracted the attention of the FBI. Fuck Merrick Garland. Fuck anybody in the Biden administration pussyfooting around this abysmal scandal to protect themselves or their friends. Or for money. I'm sure that I'm as surprised at the State of New Mexico that the law enforcement agency with the proper jurisdiction has done nothing. There is likely more hope for action from a state agency than a national one. New Mexicans don't get the opportunity to hobnob with the wealthy class of rapists found in high society.
  14. The Aggies are never not the best team on the field, they merely underachieve. That's the word and attitude over on TexAgs. It's their culture not to face the fact that things can actually be inferior there. The word "lose" is barely in their vocabulary. They're a study in the perils of constant self-congratulation and failure to face uncomfortable facts.
  15. Imagine the number of idiots applying to Harvard and Stanford!
  16. THEY LOST TO MIAMI WHO WENT TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! What's so hard to understand about that remarkable fact. They were awesome. They only lost to us because they weren't very motivated and played their worst game of the year. Get with the program!
  17. I'm no football savant. At whose feet should I sit to learn? The Elk! Of course! I'll repay him by letting him know what they look like. Oh, I am lucky. Olin interprets. Hello, Olin. Yes! Thanks for reminding me. Texas A&M was the envy of college football in this regard! You can put the checkmark to this goal, professor. And this year? There is a room that we all enter at times with those very concerns. I gather from the "we" that you do this as a team in that room. The results are well worth the smell, I'm sure. Olin interprets for us: Oh, now I get it. Thanks, man. No sweat. I do this for a living. Remarkable, my friend. Remarkable. It's a gift. Get us back on track, O scribe. Ah, yes. The non-frauds needed those two words Elko was talking about. Take it away, Mike! It's a shame more of the 2022 class wasn't around to keep you high. 1 Sometimes the consistency/urgency room is occupado if that's the there you're talking about. 2 Consistently and all the time? Pretty much the same thing. Maybe I'm missing an Ivy League nuance, you silver-tongued devil. 3 Stay high and hit those marks! I sense something is worming its way to the top of the queue in the ol' Olin compulsion box. In the future, Aggies dying in their beds will lament not having witnessed in-person this singular achievement. On to the future and team talent. Well, there it is. Succinctly put, Coach Elk. Oh, wait a minute. There's more! No longer succinct, but okay. Driving the point home. Huh? There's more? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? No shit, Sherlock. Oh good, Olin's breaking in to move the narrative right along. Thanks, my man! * Elko's word of the month is "markers."
  18. Nixon seems almost quaint nowadays.
  19. Recall the GOP cry whenever some accusation was brought up against a Dem? Where's the outrage? All I got is a sick feeling.
  20. We're assholes. We're cruel assholes. Right on brand. Speak for yourself, I plan to post some very pointed, hard-hitting stuff on this very board, my friend. Look out, Walls of Jericho! If giving up (cutting back) on beef hamburgers to save your grandkids is too much of an ask, you can't expect hardworking Americans to push the strart/stop button at a red light. The annoyance! It ain't easy in the first world.
