I mean we've got friendly games with Serbia and maybe Canada coming up (Canada isnt confirmed yet). Gold Cup this summer and Olympics (technically only U24s can play in it). Then WC qualifiers start in sept 2021. We've got Concaf nations league as well which is for a trophy. Other than WC qualifiers I think the Olympics are the one we need to perform well at the most. Performing well or winning the olympics in soccer would help ignite USMNT fandom. We have so many young players it is actually possible to put together a really good side for that competition. Also a medal finish in the olympics would help the players in the future know they have the potential to perform well. We've got matches on the way that will matter its just going to be a bit longer. On another note, I wish the usmnt would quit playing the gold cup and taking the invitation to play in the Copa America every time its offered.
Watched the whole thing. Really boring game. I thought Ole would put on some academy players to give the a chance in the second half but United's inability to separate themselves from Watford made him sub Rashford, Martial, and Matic in the second half. Also I hope Eric Bally isn't injured again. The dude can't catch a break.
I'm a United fan and that save by Steffen against Bruno was world class. I know he's City's #2 but I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually makes a move to a club where he can be starter every week.
Yeah it really is nuts that a MLS team with one of the lower (pre-covid) attendances is making some of the biggest transfer moves selling USMNT players. Also FC Dallas is making sure the pipeline can continue. I think they sent some of their players to go train with Bayern. Hopefully Bayern will see a player they want to make a move on.
Balogun probably isn't even backing up Kane any time soon tbh. There's Vardy, Sterling, Ings, Rashford, Greenwood, and others who would start or backup Kane before him.
I just called Texas Athletics and you are right. It is due to the stage 5 declaration. I'm probably going to buy the spring big ticket if things turn around and go to all the remaining games.
Do yall think they are going to continue not letting fans come to the games? I was going to snag some tickets for a game in February. My friends had tickets for the game last night and I was going to go with them. They cancelled at the last minute with no explanation.
My question is $180k the magic number for the parents or the players too. Also what type of money are the players receiving on the side to keep them happy while they are at the school?
If United beat or draw Burnley, this will be the first time since SAF was manager that United is top in January. Also am I the only United fan on here?
I think Otasowie ends up replacing Adams in our starting 11 eventually. Owen is getting more minutes and is showing improvement every week. Hopefully he will become a regular starter for Wolves.
Do yall think anyone in oil and gas (Upstream, midstream, or downstream idc) is going to do any hiring for engineers this spring? I'm graduating this Spring from Cheme and worked for a pretty well known E&P as an intern before covid cancelled my second internship. I loved the work and don't want to give up on the industry yet.
