In Narcos Mexico they make a big deal out of how nobody really knows what the DEA is and it’s about 1985. No country for old men there’s a line of dialogue about the DEA calling trying to find Tommy Lee Jones. That movie takes place in 1980. I don’t feel like the DEA would have had the manpower to have been involved in something so in depth as to be dealing with some small town sheriff like that at that time.
These are similar to vaccines provided before. It's "new" in the sense that a 2021 Ford F-150 is new. There isn't a ton of data on what the 2021 F-150 will do. But there is decades of data on what the very similar devices do.
Gael Garcia Bernal. I just started watching narcos and saw Diego lunas name in the credits which made me look up his y tu mama tambien buddy. Diego Luna got a lead in a Star Wars movie and is doing well. I think Bernal was better than him but he grew up to be a little weird looking so I guess that had been his undoing.
This one does feel about facts. The Rittenhouse was much more clearly tied in with politics and culture war and everything else that people could write their own prejudices into. This one is just some assholes chased down and shot a kid. They fry fry fry and I don’t think a jury of Goebbels, Jesse Helms, Calvin Candie, and your 9 favorite Vidor residents would let them off.
/watches right winger flout the law then be the first president in history to refuse the peaceful transfer of power
”actually it is the left that can’t be trusted to govern.”
i think you're right if you don't rewind far enough. if you only reset to jim crow days or something, you probably have racial polarization no matter what. if you go back to reconstruction and don't abandon that for another 40 years or so, you might be able to avoid it, because you might have been able to reach real equality and real political power for blacks such that a party platform of keeping them down would simply be surrendering too much of the money and the votes for no good reason to be a viable strategy. england (as i understand it) doesn't have racially polarized parties. it's basically all class polarization. but maybe that is just because they aren't diverse enough yet and they are fated to our path one day.
I want to go and find the number of times there was a single party in both chambers of the leg and the president and see if any have been within 10 miles of being as worthless as this one.
