  1. Yup. If they don't find a plug and play OL transfer, they are playing with fire.
  2. I meant skins on the wall as a reason for meathead coaches to not take them out and let others step up. Brock had/has nothing going for him. The simplest explanation is that he was the only one at the beginning of the season who made the right reads and knew what to do. Merry Christmas!
  3. Lighten up bud. I buy it with Foster. He was a veteran with certain skills, same with Coburn, that had skins on the wall. But with Brock it makes no sense at all unless the backups simply weren't ready. You've bitten too hard into your meathead narrative
  4. So instead of Brock just being the worst best option until Ford got his feet wet, Sark and Pete are meatheads. How fucking dumb does a guy have to be to see Brock as the better option, on a D that's fucking falling apart, unless Ford and Gbenda are still bigger disasters? If we knew we were going to lose 7 games maybe lose a few early with them being totally lost based on upside, but that's hindsight.
  5. Maybe he was lost early and worked hard and became better than them as the year went on. I know its the trust the coaches thing, but they see practice everyday and I can't imagine they'd want fucking Brockermeyer in there if he wasn't the best worst option. What incentive to they have to start a former walk on if they don't have to?
  6. I guess Çam Williams is going to lose wingspan ha
  7. I just read this: "Aiyuk, despite being one of the shortest receivers at the combine at 5-11.625 inches, had one of the widest wingspans at 80 inches." That kid must be dragging his knuckles lol
  8. I think Burke says in that vid that he has an 80" wingspan, which is that of a 6' 11" to 7' person. I'm going to assume that's amazing.
  9. I'm just saying he's not a scrub who should be changing positions, that's ridiculous. He has the tools and three years of experience.
  10. corrected re: returns. Still think his problem wasn't coverage as much as making plays.
  11. I don't get everyone so down on Jamison. He's almost always in tight coverage. No, he didn't make plays like last year and hasn't lived up to his potential but nobody made plays this year. He's been a solid starter and an above average returner, and if it goes like it usually does with similar Texas DBs, he'll be in the league for years. And now he owes my fifty bucks.
  12. He'd probably hire hot chicks with tequila to follow Sark around.
  13. Seems the only problem NIL isn't able to address is kids with struggling families who can't / won't wait a year or two for cash in their pockets. It's one thing to say you'll get 150k a year in two years and another to say here's 300k right now plus more later.
  14. Can't find the discussion - will joining SEC schedule be announced before next signing day?
  15. I don't see a 5 star top ten badass caring about competition that much.
  16. Loved this kid's tape!
  17. Is there something stopping them from hiring agents in HS, perhaps working on spec until they graduate? edit - quoted wrong guy and just looked it up: No individual, corporate entity, or other organization may: enter into any arrangement with a prospective student athlete relating to the prospective student athlete’s name, image, or likeness prior to their enrollment in an institution of higher education; or use inducements of future name, image, and likeness compensation arrangement to recruit a prospective student athlete to any institution of higher education.
  18. Ya'll know better than me but when I started to think 4mil would be bonkers I checked myself. I wonder what it's going to do to alumni giving when money goes to NIL funds instead of the athletic department -- directly influencing results on the field instead of indirect spending on facilities. Super cool that you fellas working Clark Field are on the cutting edge of a whole new world.
