Agreed on both points. I think IOL and a RB with some speed should be the biggest priorities for the offense. I saw the Dallas Wilson post and assumed he just shut it down because their season is basically over and isn’t actually all that injured. And I just wanted to bump this thread to get us off last year’s.
“That was what was needed in the moment.”
Translation: “I learned nothing on Saturday, and I’m going to keep running out the same bullshit game plans and concepts that have gotten us into trouble all season.”
I understand the concept, I’m just pointing out that’s not the case for us since our interior OL is so abysmal. When the you get instant pressure up the middle every time you drop back, it doesn’t really matter how many extra blockers you have on the edge.
I don’t understand the attachment to 12 personnel when a) none of the TEs can block and b) with all the pressure coming from the A gap and B gap, the extra blocking TE makes no difference at all.
When/ if the Vitello deal becomes official, could Tennessee players hit the portal now and be eligible to play on their new team in February, or is the enrollment deadline the fall semester?
Agreed for sure. Special teams is an issue all around. I just thought it was funny because he’s always so wrong about everything, then he tweets this and the next punt return gets housed.
