Went this morning and looked at everything - student setup looks awesome (hope they don't embarrass us and will actually show up). I was hoping the seats behind students wouldn't be elevated/force us olds to stand, but that isn't the case, so I guess we can all sit comfortably.... Suites are held by a lot of local big names, and the Germania club looks like a place to go for those that want to see/be seen. The loge seats are an odd mix of comfortable couches and uncomfortable chairs.
I’m going tomorrow morning. Curious to see what it looks like vs. concert setup. I’m hoping to upgrade my seats this year but got a 6/3 time slot, which doesn’t sound promising. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If there was ever a lifetime Longhorn, it's Andrew Jones. I think we are all rooting for the best for him in life and wherever his basketball career takes him. 🤘
I got there pretty early to check out the venue and snagged a street spot near Scholz’s, so easy for me. It seemed like things were fairly organized for garages/comparable to leaving the Erwin Center when I was walking back to the car. The rideshare pickup/drop off is all on the east side so it didn’t look like mad chaos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Went there to see John Mayer last night - aside from typical beer price complaints, the venue is incredible. I’m really looking forward to see what it’s like for hoops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On the first day of my trip, I did a walking tour through a company called Sandemans -I think it was free/only tip. I had an excellent guide - it was a great way to orient myself for the week and I saw lots of cool stuff I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Carrer de Blai. Try pinchos and Sangria from every place on the street. Go see a flamenco show. They have an exquisite venue called Palau de la Musica and other more casual places. Stay away from La Rambla - Barcelona’s version of Bourbon/6th St. Definitely do Sagrada Familia and book ahead of time - lots of tourists but it is amazing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got my itinerary in late July/early August set up....Three days in Bologna, two in Modena (staying at Massimo Bottura's B&B/country house for a couple nights and eating what appears to be the greatest hits of Osteria Francescana, which I am so fucking psyched for), one day in either Parma or Verona, and four days in Como (for my buddy's wedding).
I've got a buddy getting married near Lake Como in the beginning of August. Never been to Italy, but the wife and I would rather spend our time eating/drinking/scenery than doing museums/touristy things. Probably going for 7-10 days. Any itinerary/must do recs? Considering spending a few days in Switzerland too.
Are we going to have the band back for basketball this year? I assumed they weren’t here over the last month because of Xmas break but am now guessing it is a Covid precaution? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Show was incredible. I live about 30 min away and left around 5 - took the toll and was in my spot in Lot C by 630. Had zero wait getting out. Guess I was fortunate - I could see a sea of cars trying to get in from my spot on the silver lawn until well into the Stones set. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
