What are your thoughts on modular container homes? Most? Many? Bet if we do a poll here amongst us 1%ers who only sleep with 10s; at least 25% carry a credit card balance that’s not paid off after a month.
10% credit cards will also come with $200 credit limits. Not saying 20% interest rates on CC are the right thing to do, but most banks aren't stupid (except you Wells Fargo) and won't take any more risk than they need to. Let's just waste a bunch of energy issuing worthless plastic.
AP and Reuters news articles say she got a swag bag in return but no promise that he'll support her. A Swag Bag That's gotta be the dumbest trade of all time.
My friends look at me weird when I go to Carl's Jr for a Famous Star instead of getting In-N-Out. Don't get me wrong, a double-double no spread is great, but the lettuce, tomatoes and onions at Carl's Jr. is really fresh. If I'm in the mood for a heart clogging meal, the Habit (I think it's just in CA for now) has a double Charburger which is amazing next to a side of tempura green beans.
Watching a lot of Falcons clips, I don't understand all the criticism of their former OC. They're a good run blocking team and gave Bijan plenty of opportunities to run, and use him as a receiver. Yeah it was frustrating watching Bijan take it to the 2 yard line, then put in Alegeier for the TD, but like I said, I didn't see anything that was terrible.
I think my wife and I will be okay. She works in pharma, and construction on data centers will keep me busy until I retire. But I worry about my kids in 10 years time. It's an unpredictable landscape out there and I'm think the gully between the haves vs have-nots is gonna widen to the point that pitchforks are gonna come out.
My boy's go-to move in BJJ these days is to get behind the other kid and do a rear naked choke. Me: When you do that, you should tell them "shhhh, go to sleep now". Boy (cracking up): No, I'm not gonna do that. Me: Do it for me? It'll be funny. Boy: Okay, I'll only do it to Seth since we're friends. I should not be trusted around kids.
At this pace, we're gonna be out of allies before 2028. With the change of administration every 4 years, hard to blame other countries from experiencing whiplash, and hesitant / reluctant to work with the US, and form their own sphere (EU) or align with a more reliable partner (China???). This is more than a MAGA issue, this is a structural problem that needs to be, but will never be addressed.
Very small contingent of NATO troops landing in Greenland to deter an attack by the US. Absolutely lovely. https://apnews.com/article/greenland-united-states-denmark-trump-vance-rubio-meeting-b10f5151008f1f18a788dc0751473c0e What a world we live in when NATO troops have to defend against of of their own. If the US lands troops there, there likely won't be a shooting war, but the US will probably hold them as POWs. And... NATO has relied too much on US arms, that their F-35s will no longer work because Lockheed Martin probably has a kill switch that will ground the planes. Won't blame a single bit if they continue to develop and cease military purchases from the US. The Brits seem to have a robust defense industry, buy stock in BAE Systems because their sales are gonna skyrocket.
Promising Young Woman. It was part of the Focus Features collection. I bought the set because it had Eternal Sunshine, Lost in Translation and a few other films I liked. I don’t know how this movie got 90+ on RT. Formulaic and predictable. The girl was cute though.
I got my BB58 GMT on 10/01, and the salesman "honored" the 09/31 price, which was $400 less. Nothing about the watched changed. Tudor just wanted to hike up the price 8% to see if people really wanted it that much.
The electronics on my guitar had been acting up since I bought it (used) 5 years ago. I found a shop around my work and took it in thinking I'd need to spend $300 for a new board or new wiring harness. The guy took a look, used some canned air to blow out any debris, and now it's working great. I tried to pay him, but he said nope. Gonna be a customer for life.
