OU Recruiting 2025: Truck Balls and Broken Dreams
Has there ever been a 29 year old head coach in Division I football?

Eric Singleton was the 1,078th ranked player coming out of high school. Nice increase in payday for him and kudos to him for developing himself into a hot prospect.

Pretty interesting how moves like that can alter the college football season and a coach's future. If Ohio State gets Ward, maybe they win the Big 10, get the CFP #1 seed, and Ryan Day is not on the hot seat.

Is Mateer to OU a forefone conclusion?

Tell me about ou
Live in OKC. Some local guy called into the radio and said he wasn’t going to watch football for the next 4 years and all he wanted to do was focus on the OKC Thunder because his football team was so bad. I have a coworker who used to post Ws on her wall after every OU win. She didn’t even bother this year.

What's also absurd is Hudson's view of his ranking in the world of wide receivers. Juan Soto asked for a free suite for his family, but he's viewed as a generational talent in baseball. A few years ago, Lincoln Riley was seen as a possible candidate to become an NFL coach one day.

The Kentucky backup looked good against in the 2nd half, although that seems to be a common thing.

2025 - *Transfer* P Jack Bouwmeester
OU got a punter in the portal also, whose average yards per punt is actually higher than our new commit.

Hopefully prevents other schools from trying to drive up the price.

OU missed out on the receiver they aeee hoping to sign. Reggie Virgil.

Why wouldn’t those teams listed in the fake tweet that were interested in Quinn not be interested in Mateer also?

Who gives up on players after only 1 year? What does that say about your ability to evaluate or develop?

2025 - *Transfer* P Jack Bouwmeester
Kern played in 11 games. In 9 of those games, his longest punt was shorter than Bouwmeester's yearly average. Long of 39, 42, 52, 49,40,42, 42, 42, 44,43, 39.

What happens to Kern? Does he lose his scholarship? I had a teammate in UT intramurals long ago that could punt better than Kern.

We don’t know exactly how much Justus Terry is getting, but that seems to be a better investment than the price for Keeshawn Silver.

Do the receivers know something that we don't know, that Mateer is not coming to OU?

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Would you ever have imagined a world where Brenen Thompson is the top returning receiver for a team?

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Current OU WR and TE in portal account for 31% of receptions and 39% of yards. Doesn't include Burks.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Knowing our special teams, we might have gone 3 and out and lost 15 yards on the exchange of punts.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
It doesn't seem like he ever drives the ball when he throws. Too much side-armed action.

It seems like they had a never-ending supply of offensive players that eventually got drafted into the NFL. Glad to see that era coming to and end.

What happens to Hawkins if Mateer comes in?

So did the 75% flip candidate not work out?
-
Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Yeah, it seemed like for a 10+ year period, we were losing head to head battles left and right.

Sometimes that’s the fake out. Because the real stuff is under the table.
